A nice touch, the foot poking out of the frame at the upper left. Unsure what the two objects are on the floor in front of Soot's box, they look almost like Covid masks. Just general debris perhaps?

I think it should be "in love with". English has never met a preposition it couldn't make completely arbitrary :-D

I love the composition of this comic. And emotions are hard. Love especially hard when it's for a specific person and not just Humanity in general. I love everyone until they give me a reason not to. I have been getting so many reasons not to lately. It's exhausting.

Soot in his/her box is still a kitty I think, and therefore looks too short for what my cats have always done. That is, to place the head outside the box with the throat resting directly upon the edge and somehow not strangling, in fact looking very comfy!

I didn't notice this until I saw the image in Clover's Bluesky. There's an interesting effect, intended or not, which I like in panel one in which it appears one can almost see Pia's outstretched leg through her pants.
