Ah, a smooth and creative way to transition from one setting to the next in the top panels! The waves/flames/whatevers becoming the sound effect, the sky becoming the hair, the black turning to grey... very nice! This comic has an interesting visual style so far. It's rather stark and also quite rustic, in some ways. The shading is pretty sparse and basic, but I think that's okay - it stops the pictures looking too cluttered, and it helps draw attention to the details. And the images ARE pretty detailed! They look detailed and somewhat realistic, while at the same time they have an attractive cartoony, stylistic edge to them. Like I said, an interesting style. We seem to be off to a good start!

Oooh that's a very nice strip! For the French version, I think it ought to be "je serai prête" and not "je serais prête" as it is future tense :)

I love how the waves receding become a metaphor for waking up in the top panels. Like a good written metaphor, it gives me another way to look at the world that's not entirely alien but different from my own.
