Kaptain Fernandez

Fun sequel. I thought Kathryn Newton as the sister was a great choice. Also, Destiny’s “new” tattoo is gorgeous!

Final Girlz

It really is a lot of fun! And thank you!

Wade Wallenstein

That was...AWESOME! Love the way they expanded the lore and kept it a direct continuation. There really did seem to be some connections to `81 Halloween 2 at the start, especially the first kill with the scalding water. Some trivia: Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett were working on an original film centered around a sister story, set to star Kathryn Newton and Samara Weaving, but when Searchlight Pictures approached them to direct a sequel to "Ready or Not", they proposed integrating their original sister story into the "Ready or Not" sequel. Searchlight Pictures approved the idea. Kathryn Newton is a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar and her series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). Newton brought in a picture of Buffy from Welcome to the Hellmouth (1997) and recreated her outfit in this film. Gellar recounted, "And then I'm in the first scene with her, and I was like, 'You know, your outfit reminds me of something.' And she was like, 'Does it?' And so, I have a great side-by-side. Yeah, the hairdo is exactly the same." The directors revealed that having Sarah Michelle Gellar in the cast meant they had to get creative with the weaponry, as Gellar had used almost every weapon imaginable during her Buffy years. "It happened with every weapon we gave her," they told Empire. "We had a crossbow as her weapon for a minute, and Sarah was like, 'Guys, Buffy had a crossbow!'" To up the ante in some of the film's bigger, more explosive set-pieces, the duo even introduced a rocket launcher into the film. Bettinelli-Olpin says Gellar had a quick response: "'You know I used a rocket launcher'".

Woah! Those are some really awesome fun facts! Thank you Wade! :)

Wade Wallenstein

You're welcome! I was watching this thinking, "Wait a sec...that's stuff Buffy did!" lol There's also the bit with Elijah Wood as The Lawyer overseeing a hunt that whoever wins inherits a ring that lets them have control over the world ;)

Final Girlz

Right! Lol! Stephanie kind of touched on that too LOL!
