Rego - "Another sleepless night" (Patreon)

working process

Rego's first Illustration around 2,5 years after I draw him for the first time. I have to say, the difference is huge. I used to have a lot of trouble getting his hair right, and my semi-realistic style was... let's say, closer to semi as to realistic ^^'. I'm glad that I was able to improve in both matters. I am still not so happy with hist stomach and chest, which looks a bit flat to me. I wanted him to be thin, and I wanted him to be largely without bulky muscles, rather the thin athletic type, but... I don´t know... definitely have to improve this the next time.

character depth

Rego is an OC of my fictive world robinia. The scene shows him standing in front of a window with a burning fireplace behind him. He is haunted by some mad dreams, which occur in especially clear nights, when the stars are fully visible. Or thats at least the thing he blames. Therefore he tries to evade sleeping in such nights... or at least sleeping alone (which, in the end, doesn't differ that much, cause he will also not be sleeping ^.~)
