Hey guys!

Here is the fourth episode of the Stray Kids Survival Show!

There is not much for me to say except for: I HATE JYP, LEMME PUNCH THAT GUUUUUYYYYY!

But yeah, I understand why episode 4 is not anyone's favourite episode :))))

I know it's a Survival Show but DAMN there is no way, JYP is that strict :(

Either way, I hope you guys enjoy this <3

Thanks for everything!!

The part where Felix asked Lee Know why did you do that, I always want to think the best that because Felix’s Korean still wasn’t very good at this point that he didn’t mean it to come off so blunt and maybe meant more like what happened.

JYP absolutely broke Jeongin on this show. To this day, he still doubts his performances are good enough. And it breaks my heart because he is SO talented. I firmly believe JYP just didn't understand the uniqueness of Jeongin's voice. And to expect Minho to suddenly be an expert rapper when he'd barely been a trainee for a couple of weeks with ZERO singing or rap experience? And then eliminate him for it? JYP really has the audacity. A lot of STAYs joke that this was Changbin's villain origin story against JYP. And while I don't necessarily think he hates JYP (because he did ultimately let them all debut and promote them to be who they are today), I definitely think he lost a lot of respect for the man. And Seungmin as well. Because he really put these boys through absolute hell just to make "good entertainment". Unfortunately Jess, it's only gonna get worse before it gets better. We really did warn you about having tissues handy for a reason!

When you said nothing bad will happen i started sweating

Time for my usual video novel: 1- You asked if the songs were on an album, and they are! 4419, GLOW, and School Life are all on their pre-debut album 'Mixtape.' 2- The scene in the dance studio with Bang Chan, mad as hell and disappointed, was mostly an act. They didn't show it, but it was HAN's birthday, and Bang Chan walked out "mad" (BC is a phenomenal actor), only to come back with a cake. Again, another JYP effort to attract viewers with drama. 3- The rumor was that Bang Chan was supposed to debut in GOT7 and Bam Bam was supposed to debut in the Boys Project Team with the rest of the SKZ members. No proof of this, but I do believe JYP knew exactly what he was doing with Bang Chan. He recognized Bang Chan's talent and went with it. 4- Our poor kitty, Lee Know, had never had any vocal training. He was a dancer since middle school! He was dancing with BTS for Heaven's sake! He had been at JYP for what... a month?  Of course, he was struggling! Insert grumbling about JYP here 5- Lee Know's elimination was the last time he ever cried. We've seen him get teary-eyed before, but never full-on crying like the rest of SKZ does. LK walked home in the rain after he was eliminated because he didn't feel like he deserved a ride back home.  Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I have zero plans except to get my nails done, eyebrows waxed, and convince my husband to make me Shrimp and Grits. And just so you know, Everly was in agreement about shitting on JYP's lawn. She's all in. We are heading off to watch Back Door! 🖤🖤🖤

This about Lee Know is heartbreaking and true.

The only good thing about this process is that it molded them into the people, artists and performers that they are. You can see why they are known to be one of the closest bonded groups in kpop and are dedicated to seeing the group succeed long-term. You'll see in other content that the guys joke about how scary Chan was, and you can see later he feels a bit bad about this time, but he was a kid who trained for 7 years with the weight of the world on his shoulders, trying to make it himself and help the whole group of kids make it too. He was and is a true leader -- a kid leading kids. I like to think of SKZ like a wolf pack. They have a strong brotherhood and that is a positive that came out of their perseverance. They are known for talent but even more so for working hard and drive.

Felix has said in a past interview that his audition was just a freestyle dance, and they didn’t make him do any vocal performance at all 😂 they had basically no idea what his voice was when they offered to have him come to JYP as a trainee LOL

Vada

That’s what I think too. Knowing how Felix is and how much he loves Lee Know, I can’t imagine meant to be so blunt.

Erica Roseboom

Oh girl it is going to get a lot worse...

Jess

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Jess

that is crazy, being offered to become a trainee without hearing his vocals hahahah

Jess

idk why some ppl think that being harsh and strict is the way to make someone "better". and yes eliminating lee know when he hasnt trained for more than some weeks and making him rap, JYP needs to get dropkicked LMFAO do the boys have a good or bad relationship with JYP?

Jess

yeah i think so too, i dont think that anyone would say that in such a situation ;-;

Jess

2. omg it was just an act??? goddamnit jyp, you and your need for drama LMFAO 3. i couldnt imagine bam bam as a leader in skz, no offense, it just makes sense that Chan is doing it hahah 4. yeah jyp didnt use his braincells i think. to eliminate him for sth he has barely done and trained for, just seems unnecessarily harsh zzzzzz 5. HE WALKED HOME IN THE RAIN??? NOOOOOOO WHY ARE U TELLING ME THIS, this breaks my heart TT______TT sounds like a good plan for your birthday hahah, i hope you had a fantastic day!! idk why, but you telling me that your daughter is down to shit on jyps lawn together, is making me crack up hjahah

Jess

yes, they really feel like family and i love that so much. the kpop industry is super harsh and a lot of groups feel like they've got a lot of internal conflicts... which is super sad to see. whereas skz feels super close and they are battling everything and everyone together and i love to see it <3

Kari Kunz

Also idk if you already knew this but Lee Know had the shortest training time out of all the members. He only trained for like 1-2 months total!

Jess

yesss and imagine being thrown under the bus like that by JYP... ;-;

Sarah Starr

Yeah, seeing what JYP put Jeongin through was absolutely heartbreaking to watch. You can see how badly he traumatized this poor kid.

Kirstin

Guys, we all have to be realistic here. JYP was the one who took the financial risk for this debut group. If he thought someone wasn't ready to debut and might cost the success of the other members it's only a logical decision to eliminate them. And tbh it's not JYP's fault that Lee Know was a trainee for only two months and then put on debut stage. The decision was made by Bangchan. And no one was kicked out of the company. Lee Know still was a trainee, just like Bangchan was when he didn't debut with GOT7. And why would people say, I.N is still traumatized by JYP's words back in 2017? He will be 25 in a few months. I'm not saying that he would agree with JYP, but I'm pretty sure I.N is able to put it into perspective, given the fact he was 16 during the show. We all know Lee Know came back, it's no spoiler. I know CEOs who would never revision their decision, even if they feel they might be wrong. And the last thing: I don't know if any Idol ever said something bad about the person JYP. Even Jackson, who isn't afraid to put JYPE on the spot said that he really loves JYP. Bangchan said during the Encore Concert 3 days ago, that he doubted himself after debut and that he was nervous because they didn't succeed right away. And he said JYP told him to just keep doing the same way. Just be themselves and success would come by time. So yeah, I get it that everyone is emotional when watching the Survival Show (don't think that defending JYP means I didn't cry when I first saw it) and of course it was a very hard time back then. But hating on JYP doesn't feel right to me.
