Hey guys!

We finally started with the first episode of the Last Evaluation!

I'm a bit confused, maybe you guys can help me out! What is the Last Evaluation for? I thought it was to finalize the last members of Babymonster, but it was all 7 members that debuted anyway, so does that mean they decided to just stick to the 7 members? heheheh

Either way, I really enjoyed this! Super proud of the girls working hard and it's all worth it <3

Didnt expect to see all the other YG artists, I love AKMU and WINNER!!

And I still gotta check out Black Pink, I know their debut songs and also How You Like That, but that's it I think...

Thank you for watching <333 sorry I was a bit mute this episode, I was too hooked LMFAO

It was supposed to be five members at that point. If you want the whole tour of it, there's also the final member announcement - even a version with the members reaction that breaks me every time I see it.

Carsten

That's after the evaluation series, obviously.

They debuted with six members. Ahyeon was on hiatus and didn't perform with the group until Sheesh. Also, they were originally supposed to be a five member group.

The members reaction video is the best. I got emotional even though I already knew what the outcome was!

The last evaluation was the first thing we ever heard about of baby monster at one point before the filming there was 10 girls and earlier on they're divided by age groups for quite a while and then they emerged seven and he always was wanting five members but ended up choosing seven. At the end they debuted his baby monster with seven members but Ayheon was on Hiatus due to a mental health break situation.... That's why their official debut is April 1st 2024.. ..with all seven members. But since you discovered them lately, Rami has been on her health hiatus. So that's why their latest projects have six members. Their very first projects have six members but their main middle projects have seven members. And when their first mini album came out, they re-recorded all the songs with Ayheon voice because she's not included in the original videos.

By Christmas time, be sure to check out their single Christmas without you. MV

I was waiting on pins and needles every week to see what the results were going to be each week we had no idea.

Haha, you'll have to get used to being scammed with this series. As for the various debuting members, I've seen other comments explain the situation well. I recommend continuing the series to get a clearer picture, and especially to watch the debut announcement episode at the end and only then react to the song "Dream." If you like watching, they've released a making-of for each of their MVs, and they're all very interesting. There are also making-ofs on the production of the songs (for Sheesh, Drip, and We Go Up). With Babymonster, I always suggest watching as many live performances as possible; in concert, they're even better than the studio version, in my opinion. However, I recommend waiting until you've finished this series before seeing an entire concert, because you might spoil some of the gems in this series.

They did debut with 6 members. Ahyeon went on hiatus before their official debut due to health reasons. She came during Sheesh. Later Rami went on hiatus also due to a pneumothorax that wasn't fully healed during Last Evaluation and she is still on hiatus. As for the Last Evaluation, it was marketed as a survival show but it was basically a scam and most people saw through it. The group was already chosen from the beginning but YG made them think they were competing to be part of the group. We know because they were already promoting them as a group before the Last Evaluation and everyone thought they were already a group and then the show aired and suddenly it was a survival show. Made no sense. You'll see what happens at the end and how he justifies there being a 7 member group instead of 5 as "otiginally" planned.

Also, the things I'd love to see your reaction to are some of the live stages. the First Take videos with them, the It's Live with them. and maybe some music show stages from other songs Also they're gonna be at the MAMA Awards this year end of november. I think thatll be special too =)

The black and white videos were released first then the introductions then came Last Evaluation...this was all pre-debut. They did not debut with Ahyeon for Batter Up and Stuck in the Middle due to health reasons as well...They debuted as a complete 7 member group during the SHEESH era...with the 1st mini album released called BABYMONS7ER. DRIP was their first full length album, all 7 of them participated in that album...Rami went on Haitus just right after they completed their SEOUL/TOKYO/NY/NJ - LA (US) stops for their first world tour Hello Monsters...Rami did not get to participate in their other Asian Tour Dates and additional North America concerts....the tour finished, HOTSAUCE happened, Baemon House happened still no Rami, We Go Up 2nd mini album happened still no Rami...hoping Rami comes back soon..

Thanks for checking this series out. I think you will really enjoy getting to know the members nd seeing behind the scenes of training and idol life. No spoilers from me, but I think it might be helpful to know that this whole series takes place across two months. It was probably recorded in April and May of 2022. The first three episodes take place in the first month and then the rest are in the next month. So the training and performances in seperate episodes are actually happening at the same time. Before the show started, there were more members, but it was down to 7 by the time this was made. YG did present it as a survival show which helped build drama and tension as the episodes were released. It also got the fans more engaged rooting for their favorites or for all 7 to debut. You will have to watch the show to see how that all transpires though or someone else can spoil it in their comments. The show aired weekly in Spring of 2023, about 1 year after the recording and ended with a debut member announcement. Shortly before debut, Ahyeon had to take a leave of absence for health related reasons so they debuted with 6 members performing "Batter Up". In Spring of 2024 Ahyeon came back for their OT7 debut "Sheesh". This lineup continued until late Spring of 2025 when Rami had to take a hiatus due to health issues and couldn't complete the Asian leg of their World Tour so they finished with 6. Since then, they have released "Hot Sauce" and "We Go Up" as well as the reality series "Baemon House". It is hoped Rami will return for their next come back, probably early next year.

Jess

thank you so much for your detailed explanation!! i noticed already that the last evaluation is more of a "scam" hahaha both YG and JYP LOVE drama and tension, i hope they can all be together as 7 in a group <3

Jess

classic YG scheme hahahah

Jess
