Hey guys!

Here is my reaction to the first episode of the JYP Game Caterers!

I love seeing groups interact with each other and I noticed how many groups JYPE actually has cause goddamn. I don't know a couple but soon that won't be a problem anymore huehue

So I'm guessing there is only 4 members of each group participating. I hope we get to see other members at some point too!

I love how JYP is actively organizing events like this. I have a feeling that shows like that decreased a lot because maybe they are afraid that toxic fans are gonna become a pain in the arse, spreading dating rumours etc. like cmon, a male idol cant be friends with female idols anymore or what T_T

Either way, I enjoyed this a lot <3

JYP GAME GASLIGHTERS HELL YEAH

🤫Sabrina Jolly 😜

The funny thing about jype is they don't get dating rumors.,.it's always siblings rumors.... Jype idols really are just a chaotic bunch of kids that never grew up!!!

Felli

As much as everyone has mixed feelings about JYP one thing he has done right is create an atmosphere that his artist feel comfortable with each other in and I think that is definitely something to be proud of

Felli

NiziU and NEXZ both have survival shows if you want to look at them, Day6 Killing Voice is really fun to watch since they’re a band they play all the songs live, you’ve probably heard them mentioned a lot in SKZ content cause Seungmin is a huge fan of them and they were the reason he ended up auditioning at JYP specifically

Andy Pizarro

I love how when they’re doing the basic moves dance thing they look like a bunch of 5 year olds at a talent show 😅 It’s so fun to see all the groups old and new interacting with each other

Jess

yeah those were basic dance moves for them but for me that was advanced hahahaha

Jess

wait!! THIS IS SO COOL, i will watch this when i get into TxT i think!! this is perfect thank you <3

Jess

yess thats how i remember the name! i think i will get to know all JYP groups at some point heheh

Yay ... This was such a fun show ... and even though it is 2 episodes across 8 parts .. each segment is a lot of fun! I love the groups under JYP, all seem to genuinly like each other and act like a chaotic bunch of old school friends or a famiy of goofballs ... This company has a special place in my hearts as The Wonder Girls were my first introduction to Kpop ... then years later Stray Kids caught me like a fish, hook, line and sinker. ... I am pretty sure these are all the active Korean and Japanese groups under JYP ... there is 'Girlset' (formally VCHA)... but that is under the JYP America thingy .... probably a little hard to get them in Korea for 1 day lol. Here is a little bit more info about the groups you weren't as familiar with (but honestly I mostly come at this regarding their links to SKZ, as that is how I mostly know them... sorry😅)... KickFlip - debut 2025 - Newest JYP Rookie Group, formed during the SBS survival show 'LOUD' Their leader Kyehoon was a JYP trainee for nearly 10 years, and so knows many of the SKZ and other JYP members, in particular he was in the 'younger' trainee groups with I.N and is very close with him, as well as Bang Chan and most of SKZ. NEXZ - debut 2024 -Japanese boy group, founded during the 'Nizi Project season 2'. I LOVE this group ...they are all massive SKZ simps and it is adorable, and their music is fire... They have to be some of the best dancers in Kpop at the moment, their dance covers are insane ... highly recommend their dance cover of SKZ 'Walking on Water' .... and everything really ... also the Survival Show is good, I mean it is nothing like the mental torture that SKZ, Twice and others went through, at least no more than you expact from a 'survival' show.... both Nizi seasons did feel more talent show like and not as infuriating as the MNet ones (but that is just my opinion)... also 3Racha are on the final panel to help JYP decide the group. NiziU - Korean debut 2023 / Japanese debut 2020 - Japanese girl group, formed through the 'Nizi Project season 1'. The female sister to NEXZ and some of the members trained together for years with JYPe... NiziU are the girls in Stray Kids 'God's Menu' and 'Back Door' MVs ... which was shot after the show and just before they debuted and SKZ performed on the final episode of the survival show. Since then they had a big hit wiith 'Heartris' which has a super cute MV feat. Blue hair Felix and performed a Christnmas live stage at SBS Gayo Daejeon with Felix making a surprise Snow price appearence. Bang Chan has directed some of their recording sessions. Xdinary Heros - debut 2021 - Rock Band - NMIXX besties / siblings and FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! ... also SKZ simps .. and some of the best vocals out there...Their cover of SKZ 'Hellevator' is amazing... I will forever love the original the most (esp. after the show) but their cover was fantastic, so much respect show to the original but different enough to excite you again and with so much fire power. Jooyeon, the one with the hair, is insane to me .. bassist, main vocal and maknae ... pure chaos energy!.... feel like that is a JYP theme... chaos and goofballs. Itzy - debut 2019 - SKZ Girl Group besties / siblings - Yep on the SKZ Survival show Ep1. Think I have mentioned their very close friendships with SKZ there. They are also very close with Twice, and other groups, and Chaeryeong was also on 'Sixteen' the show that made Twice. Day 6 - debut 2015 (month before Twice)- Pop Band - Seungmin is the head of the Day 6 unofficial fan club... and many of his solo work has a Day 6 feel ... at least I can feel it ... Many of the members are super close with SKZ particularly Bang Chan who lived and trained with the members along with GOT7 members.... Young K ... is often mention by Chan who call's him Brian, and their friendship is super close and cute... you might remember Chan hugging him in the tent after the busking mission on the survival show. JYP has debuted a group every year since Stray Kids .... SKZ 2018; Itzy 2019; NiziU 2020; Xdinary Heros 2021; NMIXX 2022; VCHA (Girlset) 2023; NEXZ 2024; KickFlip 2025.... OMG SORRY I worte an essay and I was trying to be brief 😅

I LOVE YOUR ESSAYS DONT WORRY AHHAH! 1. my first JYP group was Wonder Girls too omggg and then I got into Miss A too! 2. thank you so much for the information on the groups, this is actually so so so helpful for me when i continue watching the next episodes because then i just know more T_T

Kari Kunz

I still haven't fully forgiven JYP for the way he treated SKZ during the survival show. 😒 Even though they seem to have a good relationship now.

Do love how JYP feels like a family and as you said its nice to see them interact with each other. Hope you check out other Game Caterer episodes in the future like the HYBE one with Fromis9 and Le Sserafim and the two Starship ones with IVE. I hope you check out Itzy and Day 6 going forward, also catch up with Twice. I've somehow become a JYP fan as I just end up loving all the groups they debut

Sascha

The producer of Game Caterers Na Yungseok aka Na PD is actually very famous and known for his variety programs including idols. He's done Game Caterers with other labels like Hybe, Starship, SM & YG too, as well as for single groups like BTS or Girls' Generation and also actors from various kdramas. He also created other shows like Earth Arcade that won many awards, one of the cast members of Earth Arcade is Yujin from IVE. They travel in foreign countries and play all sorts of games and missions, the cast & staff has amazing chemistry, I can only recommend you to check it out as well when you got time.
