Hey guys!

I'm mesmerized by Jennie... this and the MMA performance are the first impressions of her album and just her as a solo artist and I have to say that I LOVE IT!!

The fact that she just can stand there and breathe is ENOUGH for me, that's how much aura she has hahah

Her whole energy etc, really reminds me of Maddie from Euphoria (HBO show), i dont know why LMFAO

Also I love her songs... Once I have checked out more of the group songs I will dig into all the solo songs of all the members, not only Jennie. This is going to be a fun journey too <3

I’m not sure how much u know since you’re new but basically Jennie and the rest of the girls all signed away from YG for their solo contracts. They’re still with YG as a group but after years of not having much creative freedom at YG they left solo wise. Jennie created her own company Oddatelier, Lisa created LLoud, Rosé signed with The Black Label, and Jisoo created Blissoo. Since going solo they all have put out great albums with more coming, Acting, finally appear on variety shows/ podcast, promote way more, attend more American award shows/events, and finally are attending Korean award shows again after years of YG not letting them!! All this while still going on tour as Blackpink and preparing for their upcoming album as a group. Sorry for the paragraph!!

keep the paragraphs coming, i love them!! also, i did NOT know that they signed away from YG omg... i guess the group Blackpink is still under YG, cause they had a comeback not long ago if i remember correctly :( i think its a good decision tho! i feel like that made them even more known to the whole world!

If you find time, you should check the other Idols reactions to this, Le Sserafim and SKZ were dancing like crazyto Like Jennie. Ive seen sooo many posts about Han and his reaction when Jennie won her Daesang after this performance :D

Yes you’re lucky you weren’t around 2 years ago when negotiations were underway. Rumors everywhere of them leaving completely had everyone tense! But they decided to stay as a group with YG but focused the next year to their solo careers before coming back together. And yea they came out with a song in July last year before going on tour again. Now they’re coming with a mini album on February 27!! Most fans were happy they stayed together but also love how they all showed their own colors in their solo work! Looking forward to seeing your Blackpink journey!

yes damn right is indeed a very sensual song😭 cant wait for u to react to her album if u plan on doing so in the future! damn right is about self-empowerment and sexual confidence. alot of jennies songs are very empowering which i love!! damn right is more of an r&b song which i loved from jennie. kali uchis and childish gambino are actually features on it! her album is very diverse, i think you'll love it :) (also, i just bought in today so i apologise if i leave a few comments🤣 im catching up on posts i didnt see before)
