Hey guys!

I loved watching this so much! I really enjoyed watching a Blackpink documentary as well, there is just sth about documentaries that give you insights that normal YouTube videos cant do!

I'm so confused tho! I thought they all trained at HYBE but they all got called up? Randomly? To join a possible Kpop group? hahaha what the hellllll

How did they find Kazuha? They just randomly saw her dancing or does she have history with kpop training? SO MANY QUESTIONS

This is so fun tho, i really loved this!

(INFO: The 4th Gen Video will be postponed to tomorrow, because im still waiting on my thumbnail :( )

you was right about garam, she was still in this but they edited it/kept the camera away from her

Kazuha was doing ballet in the Netherlands and she submitted an audition. Then the Source Music CEO travelled there and personally recruited her. Yunjin was added, because they needed a main vocal and she was known for her good voice. She was trained in classical opera for some time. Chaewon is also a very good vocal, but could be too soft for hard hitting and loud main vocal parts. Garam was with them but is completely cut from the documentay. As you also noticed you can see her at times and its noticable by the sometimes weird framing of shots, where its more zoomed in than feels right in that moment. They did an insane job at cutting it like that tho (regardless of if she should have been cut or not...)

zuha was personally recruited by source musics CEO after being discovered online lol. there was many videos of her dancing online so thats how she was discovered. this is how it usually works with groups who arent created through survival shows and obviously open auditions too

It’s kinda amazing how well they work since it seems like they were cobbled together. At least that’s the way the documentary made it look.

From what they've said, and I understand, Chaewon, Sakura and Yunjin were specifically picked and were always going to be in the group, it was trying to find the last few members that fit with them and the concept. From what I can tell, what happened to Ruka could have happened to Eunchae and Garam if the company did feel like they were right and maybe Kazuha, but Kazuha also seemed chosen too regardless. A lot of companies (especially bigger ones like HYBE, JYP, YG, SM, Starship, ect.) have scouts everywhere and will randomly cast people off the streets, or at competitions, concerts, through videos found on the internet, that sort of thing. Like for example Tzuyu of Twice was cast off the streets, Ryujin from ITZY was casted because a staff member saw her at a GOT7 concert and thought she'd fit. Early Kazuha has the additional adorableness of not being able to speak Korean well at first and I love it. I'm glad you're starting your journey with these groups. Le Sserafim is pretty great and brave to put out these documentaries like this because not many companies would do this and a lot of idols won't really talk about the hard stuff until much later in their careers. So, it's nice to have some transparency with them and their staff members that they have.

I love them 🥹

.

I still find it crazy how they were able to completely crop out Garam

I'm excited to see your reaction to the documentaries. What I personally find really beautiful is that they show a lot of the bad sites in this industry and also the members at their lowest points (emotionally). It gets really sad at some points, but at the same time it's amazing that they share those moments with us. Fearnot <3

Jess

yeah you wouldnt think she was part of the group at all the way they edited

Jess

i love this as well! the kpop industry is not rosy pink rainbow, its good to see how tough it is behind the scenes so we have more respect for the idols working their ass off :(

Jess

ooohhhh i thought it was only through auditions and occasional pickups on the street but i never thought they just contact people and be like: yo you wanna be a kpop idol in le sserafim? ahhahaha but yes, i love this series so far. its good to see some of the real aspects in the kpop industry

Luez

Next ep, please 🦦💙

Kazuha took the online audition for source music lol not she being contacted just randomly😂
