Hey guys!

I loved this so much! It was honestly a completely new side to Babymetal, but I genuinely liked it!! Both versions were nice to listen to and she just sounds amazing... Said that many times but yeah HAHAHAH

I said this in the video already but this song reminds me a lot of the Attack On Titan Openings, I forgot the name of the band singing it but the vibes are were similiar. And I'm a sucker for the openings...

I'm glad you liked the songs! It's a shame I can't send you more haha I'm 100% sure that if I sent you One Ok Rock you would fall in love with them (I'll wait for the Japanese channel). Next time I'll continue with Babymetal I'll send you my favorite (Road of Resistance which you'll like for the audience) and their first song (Doki Doki Morning) with the comparison between 2011 and 2024 which is always very fun to see. You guessed it right anyway at the end of the concert legend 1997 SuMetal dies as an Idol and is reborn as a metal singer in the Babymetal lore (sooner or later I'll send it to you but you have to tell me first if you are particularly religious because "Babymetal Death" might shock you a little and it is also a very energetic song, even more than Headbanger being almost only instrumental). The band of "Over the Hills and Far Away" is Nightwish. As for the opening of Aot, I don't know, my favorite is "Rumbling" from Sim, but I don't think you mean that one because it's quite metal, maybe you meant the first Op? Besides, Babymetal have only collaborated on 2 anime openings so far.

Su was 16 for both of these performances, they were shot a few months apart. In the first one you mentioned it sounded like an anime hero about to sacrifice themself; in the story arc of the concert that happened. At the end Su-metal had a death scene. Good catch. But for 16, the stage presence. People talk about stage presence a lot, to me Su-metal is the bar I measure others by. She owns the stage, even here as a kid.

subscribed for more Babymetal

Itchy-metal

Subscribed for babymetal. Great reaction.

Jess

honestly i keep forgetting how young they are and that says a lot. I just think they are 20+ here in this video with the amount of stage presence and vocal skills. Super impressive!!

Jess

im not religious no hehe so send it all over :D im hoping to get it started next week (the japanese channel) and then we move the babymetal stuff there. I see some ppl sub for babymetal only and i feel bad if they dont get much of it here since its kpop :C and yes its Nightwish OMG HAHAHAH rumbling is quite metal yeah, i meant all the other ones technically. Tho rumbling goes quite hard too. I like it :D

then maybe I'll recommend the songs to you directly on the other channel.

1:11 well, she is the final boss. 😀️ This concert is when she became a goddess of metal, in Babymetal lore. 3:32 you are not wrong, the way she becomes a goddess is by dying and resurrection. 5:20 yes, it's part of her power/talent, extremely clear and precise singer. There is a comment on a Youtube video (translated from Japanese): "I was born with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. I can't hear sounds well, including vowels and consonants. I've seen many singers, but SU-METAL is the first one whose lyrics I could hear so clearly. I was shocked by Sonisphere in 2014, and my life changed in many ways, including going to more concerts than I normally would, buying expensive earphones, and so on. There are many things I don't like about my hearing loss, but I would like to thank SU-METAL for giving me the joy of listening to songs. " After these concerts, a few months later they went on their first world tour. Moametal turned 15 on the second show and the other also a few weeks before. So they were 15, 15 and 16. Standing on huge stages in from of 10s of thousands metal heads (Sonisphere was 60 000 at least).

Maybe also something from outside of Japan, like Ijime, Dame, Zettai, Sonisphere, UK 2014

That is my 2nd fav song. I wanted her to get used to the sound a bit first. Ijime Dame Zattai at Sonisphere 2014 is a very important song and without a bit of context you can't fully understand it in my opinion.

Babymetal - Awadama Fever (from Yokohama Arena). Its fun song. U will like it better than Headbanger :) The girls' charisma is off the charts. They can get any crowd going in any country :) this is best version but there no such version on YT. U can view directly from my google disk - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZkRBxvduiKqbkDPgouLRo94WH2Rv0zPk/view?usp=drive_link You won't regret it. It's a super epic and fun song at the same time.

Even though Suzuki's voice leans more toward pop, she's a very powerful vocalist, even at that age. Babymetal is a fusion of J-pop and heavy metal, and her voice perfectly suits that style of music. She has a pop voice, but she can also belt like a metal singer. So her voice is also a kind of a fusion of the two styles. Because pop vocalists rarely sing with such power, and metal doesn't use such a soft vocal style. In fact, the whole of Babymetal rests on her vocals. And the fact that Babymetal has become so famous is largely due to her personal efforts. She loves singing. She doesn't even do it for the money. She said in an interview that singing is her whole life and she wouldn't want a life without it. She sings with dedication, completely investing herself in it, and the audience feels it. She especially starts singing brilliantly when she sees a response from the crowd. I think she lives to sing.
