RELEASE DATE: October 31st. The Biggest Update Yet (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

It’s official... the next update of Because I Love Her drops October 31st.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the largest update the game has ever had. It’s not just new story. I went back through the entire game and rebuilt a lot of it from the ground up.

Renders and AnimationsThis update is expected to land at roughly 800-900 new renders and about 20 animations. One of my personal favorites runs over 192 frames, a full 8 seconds of animation for a single moment. And from here on out, every animation in the game will run at 24 fps. This is enough renders that whether you're on the sharing path or True NTR path, you will experience a full update. (But I promise you'll want to see both)

Sound designNew sound effects throughout the game. Scenes finally sound the way I intend them too, before I did mostly music over everything, but I wanted to really do things the way I envisioned they would happen, so volume up for the full experience.

UI redesign

A new main menu with the much requested "Continue" button taking you to your last line played, new fonts, and new on-screen elements for crucial moments, all built with one coherent theme in mind. Some of them you’ll notice the moment you boot the game up. Some of them you’ll notice as you progress. You can now enable save naming for your path too. I also re-implemented the transparent bar at the bottom that holds the main text, it now goes fully transparent and adds a black backing to the text to make it more legible, so now you can see my renders and animations in all their glory. In the example above, text is still legible even over an obtrusive render like this typewriter.

Completely new animated Gallery, made with your inputs

Before, the gallery did it's job. It showed you all of your unlocked scenes and let you replay them. Now, it will show you your progress, what route each scene is in, and a bit more behind the scenes. Below the gallery is a new button, Customize Gallery. No spoilers here, but traversing every path will now unlock new polaroid's for Claire and Zoey that you can change to your liking. It isn't anything crazy, but for those who need that little extra boost the play the other paths, now you have one.

Bug fixes & path correctionsI’ve gone through the routes and fixed choices and flags that weren’t carrying over the way they should. Your decisions now land where they’re supposed to, and every path plays the way it was meant to. As long as your saves are relatively recent (Within the past 2 updates) they should remain unaffected, though I can only test this so much on my end.

And of course, the story

Claire’s night with Damien is finally here. Zoey’s big date branches four different ways depending on what you’ve done, and every one of them changes her. Your path's choices are now beginning to truly unfold at the highest level. There’s a long night ahead, a morning after nobody’s ready for, and an ending I think you’ll be talking about until the next update. I know some of you have felt many scenes were rushed in the past. I heard that. This update takes its time, and every scene is built to be worth the wait. Scenes now take their time to finish, there is aftercare when earned, and a serious cliffhanger that will change the game as we know it forever.
