Nathan Bushey

I watched yours and Akis video on the oldest hotel, and I loved the videos. My question is, do you have any personal ryokan recommendations, or ones that would be good for possible first time travelers?

Anonymous

What do u think is the better manga Rosario+Vampire (series) or To love ru (series) probably misspelt some things lol

TeeSo

Love the vids, What do you think of the anime phantom (requiem for the phantom)?

Anthony Urbanski

What Prefecture do you think more people need to travel to and why?

Douglas Whittaker

Quick one for you this time. I wanted to use a clip of your reaction to my question from a couple of months ago ("A Shoujo horror retelling of Shakespeare's Richard III? That sounds fucking awesome!") for a video I was doing on Requiem of the Rose King. But since I didn't hear back from you, I didn't include it. In the future, am I allowed to pull clips from your videos IF and ONLY IF it's answering my question?

Frog Tales

What's your most prized collectable item, period?

KellyTheFallen

Have you thought about bringing back My Music Taste Is Better Than Yours on the second channel and have you heard MAN WITH A MISSION's newish album Break and Cross the Walls I

Sally Lee

Hey Joey, hope you are doing well. How's Christmas for you in Japan compared to Christmas in Australia? I'm not sure if you mentioned this in the public holiday podcast.

Jeramiah Michaud

With Japan not allowed to have a full military force instead they are allowed a Japanese defense force only. As well as having an American military presence in Japan to help defend the country from outside threats. Here is my question is there still tension between the Japanese people and the united states military?

TokuGeek

Hm…any show preferably anime but not have to, would u recommend or u like to watch to feel the holiday spirits? 😁

Corbyn Mejia

Hey-o again, it's me, ya boi. Again, pronounced meheea. (no apology needed, everyone gets it wrong) Anyway, have you ever heard of Professor Elemental? He's a super funny musician I think you may enjoy.

Anonymous

What are your favorite Nujabes tracks?

Androo Gnoix

Heyo joey I hope you had a good Christmas and new year, hopefully doing a compromise of with friends and family both. Your favorite song from a musical and why? Also what other music genre would you like to compose? I'd like to hear you do a fusion rock jazz piece.

(Sasha)

Hi Joey, in his latest book, Werner Herzog tells about how he once got offered to meet the emperor of Japan in a private audience. When, to the shock of all present, he declined, he was asked who he would like to meet if not the emperor. He said he would like to meet Hiroo Onoda, known as the japanese soldier who didn't beleive the notice that World War 2 ended and hid in the Philippine jungle for 29 years. Is there anyone in Japan or the world that you would like to meet that much that you would ditch the emperor of Japan for if you had to choose between the two?

Lucy First

Will we see a Pokémon brilliant Diamond/ pearl Nuzlocke challenge between the bois? Loser can eat a ghost pepper or something.

Karina

Hey Joey, hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year! What non-anime shows have you and/or Aki been watching recently? Do you have any favorites that you recommend?

_TKD_

From 1 to 10, how important do you think openings and ending are for the quality of an anime?

Hey Joey. Have you been to Akiba Base? It's an airsoft cafe in Akihabara with the idea being you eat and drink (even alcohol) and then go shoot some airsoft guns. It was pretty fun when I went there and the food was also good. Not really a "japanese" experience but somehow feels very "japanese". Edit: God damn I had no idea Garnt will pull out that thing in the figure special when I wrote the question...

Jaegermeister

What is your favorite Isekai ever? After having a studio specifically formed for its creation mine is definitely Mushoku Tensei, it is the only anime that engrossed me so much that I felt I had to read the Light Novels and holy absolute fuck, any episode called Turning Point should go down in anime history as fucking Legendary. (Turning Point 2 comes out December 4th 2021 and its gonna be WIIIIILD)

HarvZGames

What's one game or anime OST that you listen to when relaxing. For me I find the Ace Attorney OST relaxing (Mainly Godots theme) but I was wondering what sound tracks you listen to, when you want to relax

Raphail_k

Hey joey quick question, have you been playing any video games recently? and if yes any recommendations

John

Hey cutie what’s it like being the voice of reason on trash taste and p.s. have u wanted to slap gigguk for his shit food opinions shit I know u would (Jk)

Alex H.

Hey Joey. Are there any shows that you didn’t like at first, but you ended up liking a lot more on a second viewing? On the flip side, are there any shows that you really liked at first, but didn’t like as much when you rewatched it?

Anonymous

For research purposes: what’s your opinion on Black Butler and have you seen the live action?

Skywarior01

Any chance we can get a live-action actor, someone like Takeru Satoh on Trash Taste?

Anonymous

what is your opinion on the idea that some manga series take x amount of volumes to "get good"? I see this being said a lot about different manga titles but when a series supposedly takes more than, say, 3 volumes to become enjoyable, I start to question whether it is actually a good series or not. Do you think the first volume of a series should be good enough to hook you and show what it has to offer, or do you think it is reasonable for a series to take multiple volumes before it's really an enjoyable and "good" read. Thank you and I love your content! Keep doin what your doin

Shinobuswolf

Whazap joeyman, i ve been wondering, cuz u might be more up to date to it, but are there still arcs in the monogatari series that arent animated yet? Like i really love monogatari but i dont know if it has really ended or not, cuz some say zuko owari was the final season but i also hear some say that there are stuff still missing. Also do you know if the novel/manga is still continuing or has it really ended? Ps: Finally was able to snatch myself the 1/2 shinobu figure. (*^ω^*)

Anonymous

Hey Joey, I'm a new fan as I just got into podcasts a few months ago and think you and the trash taste bois content is super fun and enjoyable. My question is there's alot of anime out there where their filler can be annoying or even ruin their reputation, curious if there is any anime where you genuinely enjoyed the filler episodes? Thank you and keep up the sick content!

AsbestosDust

If you had the option to completely master one instrument without needing to train or practice with it first, which instrument would you choose? Cheers and have a Merrry Christmas

Brumakian Productions

As an American, I'm curious about the Australian way of insulting someone or an organization. Question is, can you insult the current state of YouTube, like a true Aussie? Much love from the United States! 🇺🇸🇦🇺

Jonatan Tercero

I’m just here to promote Tokyo Revengers. READ TOKYO REVENGERS JOEY , IVE YET TO HEAR A WORD OF THIS MASTER PIECE BY KEN WAKUI FROM YOUR MOUTH JOEY. SINCE YOU ARE REALLY THE MANGA MAN AND NOT THE ANIME MAN ANYMORE, PLEASE READ , THE ANIME ADAPTATION IS MID HIGHKEY. OR IF YOU HAVE READ / WATCHED, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS GOATED SERIES. PS MIKEY IS DA🐐

Solar

Hey Joey! I hope both you and Aki are doing well. :D For my questions, what would you consider to be one of your life's accomplishments so far? What sorts of things do you want to do going forward with your channels and music? What would you say is one of your life's mottos? And, lastly, have you been able to get around to playing any of the Super Famicom games that you got from the lucky bag yet? If so, which one is your favorite so far? I hope you and Aki have a lovely Christmas! :D

Aailom

Hey Joey, as always thanks for all the amazing content. How much do you play the piano and what do you usually play? Is there any plans or idea to do videos with piano playing?

pizza killer

Last month I asked what you thought about my idea for a wild western seinen I've been trying to write for 2 years; 水がワインのように味わうところ or Where the Water Taste like Wine (which I appreciated the feedback on). It was kinda surreal because the night before the video released I had a dream about that exact story. However gotta be frank is it even worth trying? Can an american even be featured in a Japanese manga magazine? I've never heard of such a case. (Sorry if my Kanji was off)

Broda4Life

Hey Joey thank you so much for answering my question from your previous Q & A about Doujins parodies that you recommend. I wanted to ask you if you could have any Mangaka as a guest on Trash Taste who would it be? Also was there anyone you haven’t had the chance to meet because they passed away before you could meet them in person that you wish you could had on Trash Taste as well?

John McKenna

As somebody who is not only a YouTuber but is also in a serious relationship with another YouTuber, how do you overcome the challenge of leading very busy and hectic lives to make time for eachother such as date nights, romantic vacations that aren't meant for content, or just relaxing with a night off at home?

Anonymous

What do you think of the JoJo part 6 animation quality? I've been lowkey debating on reading the manga at this point. ( I also feel like other Netflix releases have had the same problems, mainly Blue Period)

Light Yagami

Hey Joey, I recently finished both Judge and Doubt, I think Doubt is slightly better written than Judge personally but I think that they are both solid death game manga. I just wanted to ask how did you feel about the twist at the end of Judge?

Anonymous

Hey joey hope your good man:) I was wondering if you have ever read BECK. Its incredible and I feel like it’s so underrated. As a musician myself I was really struggling with motivation to keep playing but after reading BECK I dive straight back into with a new drive. Its super good I highly recommend it.

Anonymous

Hey Joey! My question is, Do you usually have a preference of physical or digital with manga and/or light novels? I've tried to collect most series in physical format, but cant get every series that way because of where I live. So book walker is my friend there ;D Thank you for the amazing content! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Finland!

senrente

yo wassup Joey As a fellow music enjoyer, I want to put anyone who listens to this on this song called (Like) Linus by the Deftones on Youtube, I promise you won’t regret it By the way what platforms do you use to listen to music?

Skywarior01

Joey, after the incident with Mark and Toei, would you advise pirating Toei property from now on, at least until they get their shit together?

LoyalSerment

Heyo and good day to you Joey! I appreciate the response to the last question, and I’m happy I was able to catch you off guard with that plug to your twitch I did in my last q&a lol Trust me I’m sure everyone enjoyed the good laugh, but if you thought that was good then you should definitely check out “The Anime Man” official YouTube channel because the best content lies deep within it without a sign of any Isekai!! Sorry back on topic! The question I had for today was one I was thinking about for a while, but knowing you’ve received a ton of anime exclusive merchandise over the years, is there a few items you cherish like the most?! I personally have some anime signatures from some VA’s with my anime figures which I value the most, but maybe it’s different for everyone! I hope everyone is doing well today though~

Max Kim

have you seen sentai/kamen rider? i feel like you would have at some point and would like to know which you prefer more, sentai or power rangers. personally, i prefer sentai for being a bit more mature with certain topics (death, betrayal, etc.)

Blake Kercovich

Hey Joey, just watched your health check up video and wanted to clarify something you said. Intermittent fasting doesn’t mean going days without eating, it means only eating during a small time window during the day (usually 6 hours or less) and then not eating for the rest of the day (other 18 hours plus). I do this and it made a huge difference. I lost 20 kg in a year. I eat breakfast at 6am, snack at 9am, lunch at 11:30am, and that is all the food I eat each day. That’s intermittent fasting. Best of luck in getting that A rating next year.

Hey Joey something ive been curious about for a while, when you are reading manga or watching anime, what langauge is your go to to read/ watch in?

Kevin

Do you like all of the Home Alone movies or just the first 2 movies i am curious because i love Home Alone and i love all 6 movies yes the first 2 are the best ones but i see so many people hate on the other movies i can understand why people are upset at the fact 4 didn't get the original actors but i don't see it as that big of a deal 4 is still a great movie

Anonymous

As a fellow musician, I'm curious. When it comes to music do you have more of an emotional connection to the instrumentation or the lyricism?

TokuGeek

Hey Joey hope this doesn’t feel too pushy. It just I saw u mentioned this on the Hideaki Anno video so I must ask. Do u have any experience with watching Tokusatsu? And if u do was there any memorable experience like a series/movies that still stay with u regardless if it was good or not.

DreamingCannibal

What upcoming manga are you looking forward to reading? Is there a Manga that has disturbed you? What is your favourite kind of meal? What did you do for Christmas? Did you have a good time? I hope that next year is very successful and fulfilling for you and that your loved ones have a good year. :D

What's the gear that you've got in your vinyl listening setup?

GenRojas09

Hey Joey! First off, I appreciate your content so much. This question is random but just curious. Have you ever had authentic Mexican food? My family are immigrants from Mexico and we take so much pride in our food. If you have never had a food called, chilaquiles, please find it! Also, what's your favorite Tyler the Creator album and why?

Huh, is the big tiddy snowboard next to your head in the video actually showing nips? Gotta know the sauce for that artwork ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Hey Joey, one of my favourite Anime/Light Novels has always been the Kokoro Connect series. Despite this, I've noticed the lack of attention it receives from most Anime fans and Anitubers. Have you seen/read it, and if so, what are your opinions on it? P.S Himeko Inaba is best girl ;)

TheDarkZeldaMaster

I'm writing this during my birthday :D So on the topic of birthdays, what would you do to celebrate? Also, what place in the world (or Japan) would you like to go to on your birthday? Good day to you :)

Hi joey hope you're doing well~Will you review patreon's myanimelist and 3x3s? Also have you watched more than 10 anime this year? Do you really think anime this year is mid ?(because you said that in trash taste)

Modelgio360

What do you think of Donghua or Chinese animation, i know a few and all of them have insane animation but are not getting enough recognition because it's not japanase anime? My favorite Studio is Flint Sugar, They made a short 18 minutes film called "False Memories" that made me hype and cry like a baby, we all know you are more the manga man now, but you should give it a go, to see the potential of Chinese animation, it's really short but IT HITS DIFFERENT||| https://youtu.be/WPabB9vv_ks ||| but i recommend because they recently announced that they partner with Studio Tumble to make a Series of "False Memories" and i think it's really easy to miss this chinese animation but i think this even deserves its own video, because it's so unique compared to this season of anime, it feels unique but that's maybe just my opinion. But idk since i haven't seen people talk about this Donghua. I'm sorry for talking too much, I'm just really passionate about this kind of this, and that Donghua change my perspective of friendship

MorbidRainbow

I've just seen the vlog on your second channel where you went to the Chinese restaurant with your buddy and enjoyed it a bunch. And just like you i'm of the mindset that if it's eaten somewhere there's no harm in trying it out. What is one of the most unconventional foods that you would definitely suggest to someone who's an adventurous eater?

Anonymous
