Midweek Sneak Peek (Patreon)

Here's another peek at the CDAD AU prompt I'm working on :). I was also thinking about how the raiders are coming to the school while Gen is out with her dad, so Hayden is watching Micah. And in the spirit of always coming up with a million different ways this universe could split, I started to wonder what would happen if Hayden's cousin forced her and Micah to leave the school with them because he thought he was 'saving' them. It would mean Micah grew up with the raiders, but Hayden (in this case she'd probably still become a version of Echo) would do everything she could to protect him from the things they did, which would only mean that she took on more of that burden and trauma herself. But it would also mean that by the time Gen found them again, her go-to mode for Echo would be to forgive and help heal. And naturally I feel like Micah would be SUPER protective of Echo once they were rescued because she spent all those years protecting him.
