The thumbs up at the end get's me teary eyed every time. This was so good. This is just so well done. Great reaction. James Cameron has said that the T1000 terminator (the new one) is so intelligent that Skynet fears to use it, because one day the T1000 might ask "why am I taking orders from Skynet." This may be why the T1000 didn't run after the main characters when he would have easily caught them. I believe he was enjoying the chase and the fun. The finger wag he did at Sarah at the end for shooting him also shows its personality, he's playing with his victims. You should watch the "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" tv series. It stars Lena Headey as Sarah Connor before she was in Game of Thrones. It lasted 2 seasons. It's very good, it's thought provoking, raising interesting questions. I'm not saying react to it, but you should find time to watch it on your own. Though if you did want to react to the pilot that would be awesome. Terminator 3 is fine, I'm not saying don't watch T3 but you're missing out if you skip the tv series.

I had a great time watching this with you. I've lost count how many times I've seen this over the years, and it's rare for a movie to improve on the original, but this one does. Sarah's story is a sad one, John said they moved around a lot, and that Sarah would shack up with anybody that she could learn from so that she could teach him how to be a great military leader. It's sad that Sarah had no one that she could turn to for help. No one that would believe her about the future. She lost the only man she ever loved, she was separated from her only son, not able to protect him. She must have felt so alone in the world, hardened by it. It's sad that John has only ever known the one side of his mother, the survivor. I love the scene when Sarah is watching John with The Terminator and she says, "Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The Terminator would never stop. It would never leave him and it would never hurt him, never shout at him or get drunk and hit him or say that it was to busy to spend time with him. It would always be there and it would die to protect him. Of all the would-be fathers who came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice." I love what you said "His Ultimate Father." It was so sad at the end when John had to say goodbye to him. He felt safe with him. He loved him. His protector. I like what Sarah said at the end, "The unknown future rolls toward us. I face it for the first time with a sense of hope. Because if a machine, a Terminator can learn the value of human life... maybe we can, too." I love what you said at the end. It's really amazing to see the humanization of The Terminator, and that maybe it has to do with him spending time with a child that really humanized him, because kids are so willing to love and accept, even things that don't make sense, that are different. And that spending time with Sarah and John, and seeing a mother's love for her son did something within him, and that's why at the end he says to John, "I know now why you cry." By the end you were in tears, tears of joy. I love your passion for storytelling. It's really beautiful how much you care. You're a bonnie lass. <3

Some more trivia about Terminator 2: The SWAT team leader is Hank from Breaking Bad. The first Terminator movie had a budget of 6 or 7 million dollars. T2 cost about 100 million to make. James Cameron also made "Aliens" the sequel to Alien, and he reuses the same actors a lot. There are 4 actors that appear in Terminator 1 and 2 who also are in Aliens. You'd really like the Alien franchise.
