Random thoughts on this episode: After their adventures at The Hub, loved that Simmons stood up for Trip and that Fitz is perturbed that she did! Fitz being upset with everything that Trip does for the rest of the episode! Coulson's resolute belief in Fury! Patton Oswald appearing out of nowhere and instantly becoming our friendly secret base caretaker. Raina's, in her newlt acquired flower dress, joy at meeting the Clairvoyant only to be disappointed that he's not.

During season 1 there was a prank war between Chloe & Elizabeth and Iain & Brett. So with all the snow laying around, Iain filled Chloe's loo with snow to which she retaliated by covering his rental car with snow. Not to be outdone Iain got the props dept to make a fake license plate and fitted it to Chloe's car. She was surprised at the number of whistles and beeps she was getting over the next few days, only to realize that her new plate read BALLZDEEP!!

I didn't want to say anything last episode when you thought Ward might be brainwashed but now you can feel the full betrayal we all felt. The first episodes of this season are specifically strutured around the team dynamics and making us bond with the characters so when this twist comes it is like a knife that has been heated. The Captain America twist hits harder when you are part of the people betrayed by someone you thought you knew.

Agents of shield really has the best character development even for some of the villains. Ward character is very interesting and I like that they wrote it that way. If you think about it , it would be weird if not a single person from Coulson team were Hydra. Ward not only makes the most sense but if you go back on rewatch there are subtle signs. Especially in the episode where he shoots the fake clairvoyant. Not only was it out of character but, he thinks that may is apart of hydra when Coulson locks her up for reporting. You can see his gears turning thinking she’s also undercover for Hydra, at least that was my perception after the reveal. Coulson’s speech hits hard. Not only because he is the heart of shield but, because you can see him trying to convince himself in that speech. Fitz is very similar to Coulson in that he puts his faith in people more than circumstance. Trip is such a good addition, not only because of the love triangle tension but he genuinely is a good character. He grounds the team a bit more and seems to be a voice of reason. May is going through it because she obviously loves Coulson but he can’t see past her keeping secrets even if she was looking after him. It kinda seems that he’s combining his feelings from shield falling with May secrets. Coulson is mad at May because she’s the one present but most of his anger should be at Fury. Not much going on with Skye or Simmons. Raina is such a wildcard character. I can’t wait until later because they take her in an interesting direction. The team dynamics seem to be changing dramatically. Since there is no direction Simmons even point out that everyone has a say in moving forward because chain of command is out. Can’t wait for the finale as it has one of my favorite scenes in the series.

I love how much Coulson belives in Fury being not dead before he was told like man has conviction and his distrust of May still is warranted now she just adds more to the fire who was really in charge of Tahiti like what lol how deep does this go! Wards whole betral hurts but him arguing with Garret in the begining maybe he'll find a reason to leave or idk but Raina being there is interesting

Also to answer your comment pretty much all the AVENGERS FILMS effect the show in some way. Even the smaller movies sometimes get references or direct tie ins.
