After a crazy episode, I really like the team bonding around the motel pool. Fitz asking Simmons if she was Hydra was heartbreaking as was his look when Jemma casually put her hand on his knee. Incidentally, in a very early draft Simmons was supposed to be the Hydra mole but the idea was quickly dropped as she was 'too cute' to be Hydra, lol.

It is pretty crazy when the show started we get introduced to Skye like she’s a mole of some kind & everyone else is deemed good cause there in Shield even Ward & then BOOM! It’s all flipped like Skye’s melded in so nicely with everyone & now it’s Ward on the fence & his & Skye’s talk on the plane like that’s the type of person you don’t need in your life when they convince themselves what they’ve done isn’t so bad

Ward as a character is great for the story. In another type of story his fake persona would have been the protagonist. This person of course is a piece of shit but he adds so much to the story because despite what he says here to Skye he made it personal. Not only for the team but also the audience. I think this story needed that because the show felt so safe in the beginning on purpose. Brett dalton had a hard time trying to come to terms with his character flip after so much time being good guy ward. I personally love the character because he is complex but still a piece of shit.
