Oh yeah I see the Predator similarities now. Also Carl Weathers was killed by the Predator in Predator and here he's shot by the Mandalorian, fortunately the beskar saved him. That's the word you were looking for. Beskar. Have there been Mandalorians in live action? Not a lot. Only two examples come to mind. Jango Fett in Episode II: Attack of Clones who gets beheaded by Samuel L Jackson. And his son/clone Boba Fett who gets taken out in the funniest, goofiest way in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Actually it happens so fast you might have even missed it. The camtono (container) that held the beskar tablets is a deep cut prop. In EpV when Cloud City is being evacuated, one of the citizens running by for like 2 seconds is carrying one, which was made out of an ice cream maker. As always happens in Star Wars, he and his device were given a backstory. Willrow Hood and, in Legends, a computer core with rebel info, or in canon a container carrying unknown but apparently valuable contents. At SW Celebrations it’s common to see a group of cosplayers dressed as him carrying camtono replicas chanting “ice cream!” during what has been dubbed the Running of the Hoods 🤣 The big mandalorian who was beefing with Mando is voiced by Jon Favreau. His name is Paz. He does have a last name but for reasons, I’m not gonna say And so Mando’s home was attacked by the separatists as a kid Mando’s armor might have an extra element of specialty in that it’s entirely pure beskar. Pure beskar deflects blaster shots, but in Clone Wars and Rebels plenty of mandos were killed by blaster. Not to mention Jango Fett’s helmet got blown up in Clone Wars leaving roughly half and Boba’s has a dent from a blaster shot. So it’s likey most mando armor is made of a beskar alloy rather then being pure. “It’s so cool to see this live action” YES! We’ve never had this many mandos in live action on screen before! We’ve only had Jango and Boba separately in the main films You saw Badlands?! Awesome!
