This episode is based on the Akira Kurosawa film Seven Samurai. A clone wars episode also homaged this. A village of farmers hired bounty hunters and then recruited Anakin Obi and Ahsoka to protect them from Hondo and his pirates The raiders’ species is klatooinian. In Legends they’re slightly described as canine, but not in canon so far. Fans commonly do see them as dog people. Some were in 3 of the live action films but not too prominent. You saw one slightly prominent in a clone wars episode. He partnered with young Boba and Aurra Sing when the former was trying to get revenge on Mace Windu. Aurra shot him in the face when he was about to sell them out A tooka cat! I never really saw similarity between the mandos and yautja. Sure there’s some, but definitely distinct enough. Yautja are primarily hunters, while mandos are warriors That is Eugene Cordero! Pillboi from the Good Place. I didn’t know him when I first watched this Omera (the farm lady) is played by Julia Jones. She was in a few episodes of Westworld, 3 of the Twilight movies, Dexter New Blood Spotchka, mentioned throughout the episode, is what’s brewed from the krill. It’s never been specified to be alcoholic, although it kinda seems likely Yup, taking the helmet off in front of others means no longer being allowed to wear it. Weird huh? When mandos were putting their helmets on and off like nothing in two whole shows? We actually CAN’T tell you about it, but you’ll learn. We were as much in the dark as you are, and I was also very intrigued Tracking fobs are attuned to chain codes, which are attuned to someone’s biometric data. So I guess they track someone’s specific DNA kind of

Yeah like Jon Mercano said this episode is basically 7 Samurai from Akira Kurosawa. Both this and that one clone wars episode are from 7 samurai. It's Pillboi from the good place! That's the name you were thinking of Imon. There's a fan theory that the villager woman who was good with the blaster was a former storm trooper. Or some former military job. Maybe former rebel. Could go either way I guess. Kara Dune was a rebel drop trooper. Which seems to be pretty badass. In Rogue One and Andor season 2 Melshi was part of the "Rebel Pathfinders." I don't know what the difference is, whether drop troopers or pathfinders are the same or different, but whatever the case it seems like both are rebel special forces and very badass fighters.

Predator: Badlands gave me strong Mandalorian vibes. There are definitely similarities between the cultures.
