I didn't see it coming the first time either. It's so well done and really rewarding on rewatch when you have time for it.

Also, I really relate to you self isolation comments and I always appreciate your willingness to share those parts of your experience and how often empathetic you are with what the characters are going through. You will love where the show goes.

I'm glad you weren't spoiled on this. Most people do not figure it out and Michael Manville is right that it make rewatches so much more worth it 'cause you can see all the stuff that was torturing them and the subtle things Michael does to them. 😆 This show is great and very unpredictable. I've seen a couple of reactors that theorized, close to the beginning, that this "seems like The Bad Place," but by the time this rolled around, they'd discounted it and were still shocked when the reveal happened.

One of the best twists. You can’t possibly guess where it goes from here

Nice, you finished the season and avoided spoilers for the finale. I think there was one episode earlier in the season when you said that what the characters were going through was like torture. Yeah, it literally was. I can't remember which episode that was but I thought it was funny at the time. I remember watching season 1 years ago wondering how far they could keep the show going with the same concept of Eleanor not belonging in the good place, then the twist happens and it really becomes a different show. I think, I never finished season 2.

i definitely feel you on the OCD. But it's not just that he was making people miserable. It's that he's really so absorbed with never doing the wrong thing that he never does anything. One could make the argument that it's a kind of making it more about yourself. Spending all your time ruminating on the correct way to live is a really convenient excuse for not living. I say all this as someone who is very much like Chidi in this regard.
