I would never have guessed this series was going this way. But I absolutely love it.

I'm glad I got back into this show. I stopped around the middle of season 2 years ago. It's really clever what they did with the show, there's got to be some philosophy majors in the writing staff of this series. Also Michael being the bartender has to be a cheers reference. Also, happy late birthday!!!

The showrunner wanted to create a TV show about philosophy of morals and ethics and make it palatable to the masses because he loved philosophy and I think he hit it out of the park. He did get current philosophers to help out on the storylines and how they can be applied to real world situations/relationships. Also, you saying that you didn't expect this show to go that way is what everyone says. You see people guessing where it's gonna go and I'm always like, "Heh, nope. It's never what you think." Mainly 'cause there are so many fantastical elements that they're making up that you can't guess what they're going to come up with. But, it all makes sense and progresses. It's so good. You are currently reacting to two of my top 3 all-time favorite shows. I don't really rank shows, I just tend to think of this as my favorite sitcom and Agents of SHIELD as, probably, my favorite drama. Definitely my favorite comic book series.

Chidi in episode 10: "I just wish we met the way normal people meet, like at a philosophy conference, or after one of my philosophy lectures, or you came knocking on my office door asking for help with philosophy. " 🥲
