I have thoughts about this episode, or rather about it being in this show. Thoughts I have to save for the finale

This episode is a goldmine of lore, easter eggs, and callbacks These are klatooinians, like the ones Boba met with, or the raiders back in S1. I think they emphasized their dog-ish appearance a bit I think this is the first on screen depiction (that isn’t comedic/a parody) of someone hurting themselves with a saber because they don’t know how to use it properly That crescent space station makes me think of Treasure Planet! Haven’t seen the Armorer and Paz in a minute And there it is. Paz is a Vizsla! As in Pre Vizsla, the first person we saw on screen wielding the darksaber! Both of them voiced by Jon Favreau! We did not previously hear about the curse from taking the darksaber without winning it in combat. So that’s an element to Bo Katan not taking it when offered a second time If you really want a helmet, that isn’t from a pre established character, there’s plenty of sellers on etsy who sell blank ones you can customize. Or I guess you could just paint over a pre established character helmet Mandalore in live action! The night of a thousand tears! The bundle looking like Grogu 😂 The darksaber’s shifting weight was addressed in Rebels, except with Sabine it got lighter because she learned to connect with it and released her personal turmoil Not to the death, just defeat for the darksaber Interesting that even for Paz it was heavy. Guess he has his own baggage Even in fantasy space we have TSA 😂 Oh yeah! That little two legged droid is a BD unit explorer! BD-72. You get one as a companion in the games Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor, BD-1. They’re great The first on screen appearance of a womp rat! Not counting video games. Don’t really see the one Peli kills, but we see another one resting on a rock when Mando tests out the N1 What’s a dad to do when his kid’s away at school? By an old car and soup it up, of course. And it’s an N1 starfighter like from Phantom Menace! The same kind Anakin flew as a kid! Jawas being furry tracks with the speculation that they’re giant rodents Talk about a deep cut. Han tried to use a combustion booster to stop the compactor walls in New Hope! First time it’s been named! And he flies it through Beggar’s Canyon! That was part of the podrace track in Ep1 and Luke mentioned flying through it in Ep4 One of the x wing pilots is Max Lloyd Jones! The body double for Luke in Mandalorian He said wizard! An obscure SW alternative for cool. It was said in Phantom Menace by Anakin’s friend Kitster Man this is such a great episode of…The Mandalorian…

I forgot that the Mandalorian had to fly coach since his ship got blown up in season 2. I thought I was watching the Mandalorian show instead of Boba Fett show this episode, it made me realize I like the Mandalorian series a bit more than the Boba Fett series. That fighter is the same type of ship that little Anakin flew in the Phantom Menace, used by the Naboo royal guard. They were bright yellow and chrome looking.

A lot of people complained about these episodes, focusing on Din Djarin in a Boba Fett series, but I love this kinda stuff. I love lore, for one thing, but I also love when shows take a episode or so to focus on other characters in the world/universe that expand the lore of the universe. Sometimes it's characters we know and other times it's characters we've never seen before and usually those are kinda testing out a soft pilot for another potential show. Either way, I find them super interesting and never think "This doesn't belong on this show," 'cause it just seems to make sense to me that it's all part of this universe and it's cool to see how connected it all is.
