This planet is called Ossus. It has significant ties to the jedi. Some jedi scholars believe that a temple there was the first of the order, and it used to house a significant jedi library. Luke has chosen it as the location for his own jedi temple Both times Luke’s face was created with digital deaging Yup, Grogu was in the temple during Order 66. But how did he get out? 🤫 Yes, Luke carried Yoda in a backpack like that when he was training with him Well, someone like me knows certain things from the future thanks to the Sequel Trilogy which ended before Mando S2. So it’s a little complicated. But for the most part it’s AWESOME! Also Luke having his own jedi order was a concept explored before in Legends, so not necessarily new This isn’t just the first, but so far it’s the only depiction of Luke and Ahsoka interacting! And it’s clearly not even their first meeting! We need more! Oh hey, it’s Boba! I was wondering if he’d ever pop up in the Mandalorian again. Wish he got to speak though. I’d love to know what he’s been up to. He should get his own show, where every episode focuses on his story. That would be cool. Waaaaaaaaait a minute…🤔 Funny. Freetown is what Mos Pelgo was named in the books where it was introduced, before the events of Mandalorian. Cad Bane! In live action! And he shot Cobb Vanth! Madame Garsa! No! Funny trivia: in a Vader comic that came out before this episode, the empire publicly melted down a bunch of lightsabers from the purged jedi, including Yoda’s, which he had dropped when he fought the emperor. So how does Luke have it? A later comic from after this episode aired established that the one that was melted down was just ONE of Yoda’s lightsaber’s. A reference book established he had a second backup saber he kept in a box in his hut on dagobah, that’s why Luke has it. There’s a credit scene in the last episode
