HXH loves the tone whiplash with its opening, haha. It's definitely on purpose.

*NOT a spoiler* The Gungi game is a fictional game created by Togashi. It's meant to reflect this entire arc and foreshadow certain events. See if you catch the symbolism showcased through each and every move Meruem and this girl makes. Here's a hint, again, not a spoiler so don't worry. This girl represents the "spy piece" in the board game. Hence in this episode, when Meruem said, "The spy has done nothing this entire match, but suddenly it controls the board." Ring a bell? The writing for this arc is on a different level than the previous ones. There's a video called "Explaining the symbolism in Gungi" that some guy uploaded in YT, I recommend watching that after you finish this arc.

Bro you could have commented this after the arc was done. Please delete it, they can read between the lines - they're not dumb, you're spoiling way too much. Call it a hint or whatever, but saying "this scene is foreshadowing" is a bit much.

I'm so excited for the rest of the story bc were finally getting to the best parts of the arc! I hope one week we can get one more episode bc I'm dying for more lol

JD

Learning her name isn't a big reveal or significant in any way. A spoiler has to "spoil" something so I think you're being way over the top. But in the interest of caution I can repost with name omitted I guess.

btw because the Gungi player made that special gungi move 10 years ago, it's speculated that she's, at the very least, 15 years old, and since Shiapouf refers to her as a woman not a girl, it would be reasonable to assume she could be as old as 19/20. Of course being anime it's hard to tell just by looking.

She also lives in what is essentially Hunter x Hunter's North Korea, so she was probably malnourished when he was younger.
