Homelander is more like Bush era American exceptionalism, casual bigotry, and cultural-superiority-complex personified. Stormfront is just an outright neo-Nazi and she's the personification of the alt-right that has arisen since Trumpism. She's caught up with the times and understands the power of memes and a hardcore loyal base of cult-like sycophants...she's an old-school Nazi fascist with a new bag of tricks. Homelander is old neo-con American conservatism that doesn't understand that he doesn't need to appeal to everyone.

I wouldn't call it Bush-era. Homelander is American exceptionalism period even under liberal presidents. Remember, Obama was proud to have deported a lot of immigrants and for drone striking people (including an American teenager)

I get your point but "alt-right that has arisen since Trumpism" nah... the the comic's run was 2006-2012 so very much doubt their character is Trump based :D. If anything she is the other side of the spectrum, she panders to the masses to get popularity and plays by her own rules when she thinks shes safe to do whatever she wants

Just remember EVERYBODY was on board with StormFront because of how she was perceived, and that’s the Sad reality of today, people fall for that stuff, but because the show gives us a look at how this character really feels we know she’s evil, if the show never showed it we would all been fooled, just like in real life with the media.
