Aang was based on the Dalai lama whose current incarnation is called Tenzin Gyatso. Monk Gyatso was Aang's guardian and mentor and Aang named his son Tenzin.

When you first meet Tenzin in episode one, katara talks about her other 2 children Kya and Bumi (one named after Kataras mom and one named after Bumi) and continues to say Tenzin was much more serious than the 2

People aren't the biggest fans of S1 and S2 simply because it was a lil rushed. But thats not at all the creators fault because they thought they were only getting 1 season so they had to finish it. Then they suddenly got another season and thought that one would be the last one. So again they were forced to make a quick ending. S3 however, they got confirmation that they were allowed a 4th season. Which is why S3 and S4 are the best because they have more episodes to work with and be able to connect them more coherently 😌

Season 1 is my second favourite book, I just found book 3 to be very amazing, the only problem I had with season 1 was kind the last two episodes with what they did with Amon, I feel like it could’ve been better if he was a chi blocker and not a blood bender
