**** Spoilers - Do not read unless you have watched the episode **** Hi Imon, I have definitely been waiting for you to watch this episode. I love that Brianna and Jamie FINALLY meet! The first time I watched this, I thought Brianna would need to see Aunt Jocasta and then travel to Fraser's Ridge and they wouldn't meet until the last episode and we'd have to wait another year or so for season 5. At this point, I hadn't read book 4. I almost died when I saw her walk into the alley and find him. That scene when she tells him who she is was so good and I remember replaying it multiple times. Even now, when I watch this episode, I replay that scene. It's basically word for word from the book except in the book she is 6' tall, so Jamie says something about her size, but everything else is the same. I just love seeing Jamie and Brianna together. The way he looks at her, when he saw her smile in her sleep, when he told her those Gaelic words he called her meant My darling and My blessing, when he told her she was his heart and soul. I do wish we could've seen more of Brianna watching how Jamie and Claire interact with each other. Oh my god!! I'm listening to your outro and realized you thought the skull Claire found was Roger!! The skull belonged to the Indian ghost that Claire saw that night in the rain. When the Indian turned around, we see the same wound on the back of his head matches the wound on the skull. He's been dead a while and Claire found that skull while they were still traveling up the mountain before they found their land that became Fraser's Ridge. Claire saw the fillings and realized he was also someone from the future, but there's no way it could've been Roger. That episode clearly showed what appeared to be a ghost of an Indian who was wearing a stone around his neck and it's the same stone that Claire found next to the skull. Claire even told Jamie that the skull belonged to the Indian she saw. Don't get me wrong, Roger is not a favorite character of mine, but I'm so confused about why you hate him so much. I didn't understand why you connected Roger to the skull that Claire found, but I get it now that you believed the skull was Roger. I know that Roger was wrong to ask Brianna to marry him so quickly before they got to know each other better and I understand that he wanted to be married to Brianna before they made love, even though I don't agree with him. I also believe he was wrong to keep the obituary from Brianna which caused that huge fight between them (keep in mind, the writers needed the fight to be bad enough for Brianna to tell him to go so she would be alone in order for the following scene to happen) but I don't understand how you got from there to Roger being "despicable" and deserved to die. lol

Can you imagine the world we'd have if all dads were like Jamie? Things would be really different, I suspect.

Kimberly Graham

Yep, things get super bad for Roger in the next episode, unfortunately. And nope, that wasn't Roger's skull and he doesn't die, so yay! I figured you'll find out soon anyway. :)

Haha yes I realized this way later in this season but I guess it makes for a good entertainment for you all perhaps. One thing is I did take back what I said and even said I eat my words for everything bad I said about him. But being in a similar situation in my own life and having someone gaslight me similarly the way Roger did to Bri made me really upset so I definitely projected those feelings onto him But I will say I didn't accept hi all the way because I felt he hadn't proven himself the way Jamie had proven to us and Claire how much he loved her and he would do anything for her. It wasn't until S1E11 where I fully trusted Jamie and knew he was the one for Claire. At this point in the series Roger has done the bare minimum and just expects Bri to marry him right away, she is so young and has ambitions of her own and is still learning about herself. So to me he hadn't proved his love was genuine enough to be having such a big reaction towards her and it was so disrespectful too.

I will say as the season goes on you may like where my heart stands with Bri and Roger

At the start you talked about what happened to Brianna in the last episode, you said "You really have to sit and think, what is wrong with humans?" You said that you've never studied the topic but you don't think those types of evil acts take place in the animal kingdom. I've honestly never thought about that before. I love what you said "From what I know most animals live in harmony and love, and they mate for life in some cases." You said how animals don't harm one another in that way, and if they do, then it's rare, and that there's something awfully wrong with human kind. You made me think of that line from True Detective "Man Is The Cruelest Animal." I mean I don't think animals feel hate for one another the way people do, we're the same in a lot of ways, they feel love, loss, pain, they're protective of the ones they love, and the best part about them, they don't have that dark side that people do. Seeing Brianna wake up in the morning in so much pain, and I don't just mean the pain that we can see, I mean the type of pain that will stay with her forever, I just wanted someone to hold her. I love when she meets Jamie, when she first sees him you said you didn't want that to be the first way she meets her dad. You then started laughing, the way you laugh, you really are beautiful Imon. I love seeing you that happy. The music then begins to play and she asks him "You're Jamie Fraser. Aren't you?" He asks her if she has a message for him, she says "My name is Brianna. I'm your daughter." He asks her if it's true, if it's her, she says "It's me. Can't you tell?" You can just feel this moment, it's rare to see Jamie shed tears of joy, he's so happy, I loved what he said to her "Hadna thought of you as grown. Had ye in my mind somehow as a wee bairn, always. As my babe." He then holds her in his arms and says "Dinna weep, lass. Dinna weep, a leannan. Dinna be troubled. It's all right. M' annsachd. It's all right." On their way to Fraser's Ridge they stop for a moment, Jamie wants to show Bree that beautiful view of the place, I hope she can find some peace there. You said "Jamie has gotten to have both of his children come back, that's so sweet. It's like their family is just regrowing and I love it." It's so beautiful the way you talk. You're a bonnie lass Imon. You made me laugh at the scene when they all have dinner and Bree is still getting used to everyone's names and then Marsali's name comes up and you said "Oh please tell them about your Laoghaire meeting. My lord, you gotta tell them." The scene in the morning of Claire doing laundry and Bree helping her was beautiful, Claire looks at Bree and smiles, you said "It almost seems so surreal that Brianna is here, it just feels like the whole family is together and it just makes me so happy, like she finally gets to see this other side of her mom, she'll get the full story now." I love the scene where Jamie wakes up Bree to go hunting and before he wakes her he just takes a moment to look at her, that wee smile on his face, he's so happy. You said it must feel so surreal for him, you said "It's just like, wow my daughter, I have a daughter, my daughters here." He says to her "I'll be hunting up the mountain. Will ye come with me, lass?" You asked "Why is this part making me cry?" It's because you care Imon, because you love them, and it's beautiful to see. While out hunting bees Jamie says "It's good to spend time with you, a leannan, m' annsachd." She asks him what "a leannan" means, he tells her, My Darling, and "m' annsachd" My Blessing. I like when she says she doesn't know what to call him, he says "You can call me da, if you like." She's asks if it's Gaelic, he tells her no, it's only simple. That's how we always say dad, living in England I'd remember my dad saying it was funny hearing all the other kids say dad and then he would hear us say da, he said that always made him smile. At the end Claire and Jamie find out what happened to Brianna, how much pain do these two have to endure, its like life has thrown everything it has at them. Roger then shows up, Jamie thinks it's him, that he's the one that hurt his daughter. I didn't really care much for Roger after the way he spoke to Bree, but he didn't deserve that, and it wasn't Jamie's fault. At the end you talked about Roger and how he's not evil, you said we've seen evil in this series and that's not Roger, you said with all the crazy disgusting acts that happen in this series this may be the worst thing you've seen, that you feel like it's messing with you psychologically because it's so dark. It's because you care so much, because everyone involved in this situation right now is a good person. You said "Because Jamie is so in the right. Elizabeth is so in the right. Brianna is so in the right. Roger is so in the right. And all of them are so wrong at the same time right now." You said you feel so guilty, you said you feel like it's your fault for talking crap about Roger, you said "I feel like it's me. I made Roger die. I'm really guilty." You have such a pure heart Imon, I just wanted to hold you in that moment, I love how much you care. You're beautiful, always. <3

Aww, I feel for you feeling bad as if you've doomed Roger in the last episodes!
