Games on Film #5: Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within (Patreon)

We're returning to Games on Film, only this time we're covering a movie that's technically not a video game adaptation but also is in the sense it's a 106 minute long cut scene. Though celebrated as a technical marvel for its photorealistic CGI animation, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within bombed so hard at the box office it caused Square to shut down their newly built Hawaiian movie studio and made Enix hold off on the merger for another year. Plus, we watch an Evanescence AMV.
