Patreon Raffle #9: Astro Boy (Patreon)

For this round of the Patreon Raffle, winner Jessie chose the 2009 animated adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy starring Nic Cage on Ambien and the Good Doctor. Do you remember this movie? Do you even know about this movie? Because Stu didn't. Well it's made for babysitters to put on for kids when it's time to put them to sleep and has the audacity to render Tezuka's style into that overly smooth late-2000s CGI all aggressively mid family films looked like. Listen as we tear this movie for sleep-deprived 9 year old a new one and posit that kids deserve better. Plus, it sucks as an Astro Boy adaptation. Nothing but respect for Tezuka the GOAT in this house.
