Finn is one of the most heroic humans in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Introduced in The Force Awakens, he was captured as a child by the First Order and trained as a stormtrooper, designated FN-2187. His awakening begins when he refuses to fire on civilians, choosing conscience over conditioning. After escaping with Poe Dameron, Finn discovers friendship, humor, and courage alongside Rey, for whom he repeatedly risks his life to protect.

Finn represents resistance to tyranny; he represents the freedom to define our own identity beyond conformity. He is the true hero of the resistance, and his journey is a journey toward true humanity, something we should remember in these turbulent times.
