Heyyy ✨ It's been a while since the last time I've embarrassed myself there, so here's another blooper for you haha 🤪 Yup, I had no idea how to say "syrup", and I honestly still don't know which one is "correct" 🙈 I decided to go with that French gentleman from YouTube, he always helps he out haha

How do you pronounce it btw, "sir-up" or "seer-up"? 👀

Also, I just love how he first goes to explain what syrup is 😆👌

Syrup is pronounced syrup and not syrup. You are welcome. Sir-up. That's the way I've grown up pronouncing it.

Nargles

Hehehe ohhh Solar! Thank you for posting this! And you did exactly what I would have done: googled it 😊 And I love how you kept recording through it - it made it extra fun for us! Also, at the end there you said it perfectly 😊

Babble

The Hesitation! Hahahahahaha golden... syrup

CharalamBOSS

I say seer up but I'm English and we are a bit 🤪

Holy_W@rrior

hey, you got it in the end. For me it depends on how much effort I want to put into saying it. sometimes I say "sir - up" other times I say "seer - up"

solargirlasmr

Haha thank you, James! I know I can always count on you 😁👌

solargirlasmr

Heyyy, don’t be shy here now! Brits can make anything sound classy, I swear haha 👌

solargirlasmr

I meannn, happens more often than not haha 🙈😁

solargirlasmr

Yay, thanks! And this is really interesting btw, never heard someone saying they do it depending on their mood haha

solargirlasmr

Haha oh my, sometimes I would go feed my cats and keep the recording running, because there’s no point to stop it every time cats start acting up at this point 🙈 now THAT’S a whole audio drama on its own 😆 I might share a snippet one day, if I can find something that’s not too embarrassing haha Glad I can make you smile with these 💛😌

CharalamBOSS

True, we just have to make our selves sound posh and upper class 😅

Mr.Fabulous

I would usually pronounce Seer-up here, but I imagine a lot of this is regional. Also now I want pancakes.

1) you said the f-word! Now I'm laughing... (And no, I'm not criticising you. It's funny to me because not only is it out of character for you, but it was also an innocent slip-up that actually endears you to us more. Not that you weren't already, of course.) 2) I say it "sirrup", where the U is a "soft vowel", and the Y plays the part of a "soft vowel" I. Instead of merely saying it, I have given an explanation for each vowel sound, because elaboration fights against confusion. (I can't figure out how to make that rhyme.) Hopefully this helps you moving forward.
