I wonder now... what would you consider to be a major red flag (imagine it's your first/second date with a person)? 🤔

For example, the first thing that comes to my mind is if they're being arrogant/rude to staff (waiter/waitresses/hostess etc.) 😒

Biggest red for me is when they only speak negatively. It's just miserable

if they behave arrogantly towards you and others, and if they expect you to listen to everything they say but ignore you as soon as you want to tell something

Biggest red flag(s) is being not honest and respectful towards the person they’re dating. If that person mainly checks their phone so often and doesn’t maintain eye contact during the date. Honestly never dated but these would definitely be some red flags for me

The way they look at you when the current conversational topic isn't about them. Or if they offer to do something with you (that appears to have a shared interest) to make you happy, only to then do nothing but make hollow excuses next time around as to why it can't happen. My first and only girlfriend (past-tense) was like that. At the end of our first date, while we were waiting for my parents to pick us up (to take her home, and then head home ourselves), I mentioned something that I enjoyed based on something that she had mentioned a few years prior (we went to school together for the last two years), and she offered to show me some of it. However, on our second date, she just gave me an excuse that was half-hearted and unprepared, as if she had always hoped that I wouldn't have remembered the conversation, and perhaps never even meant what she said at the time. I was hurt. It wasn't long until I had to end the relationship (there were a lot of things that caused me to do so).

Aww I love your laugh when you realised what you said :-)
