hi friends!

here is my timed reaction to doctor who season 2 episode 7 "the idiot's lantern"

this is one of the CREEPIEST episodes yet! and it was so interesting to see the doctor display so much emotion!

thanks for watching with me!

Yea, it's my opinion that Tommy should have stayed and been there for his mom on that day. He can go and try to do a personality makeover on his nightmare father another day. Rose's look in this is iconic. When you see someone doing a cosplay of Rose, there's about a 50% chance they're wearing this 50s getup and a 50% chance they're in her union jack shirt look from The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. I've literally never noticed (despite watching this probably 10 times) but the VCR that the doctor uses to trap the wire has Galifreyan writing on it. Galifreyan is a unique circle language of the time lords that you've probably seen on props but will definitely see more and more. The handwritten Galifreyan VCR label is crossed out which means it was another original home tape. I tried to translate it but I think they just made it gibberish "looks cool" circle Galifreyan rather than the standard one they adopt much later (devised by a fan!!).

late comment, but did you also notice that when it shows the TV aerials, they are swastikas??
