This show is an interesting addition to the Whoniverse. Although I wasn't particularly enamoured on the over all quality until a later series, it can make for great reaction material. Especially with more than a few questionable moralistic challenges to ponder over from our protagonists. Thieves, murders and sexual assault perpetrators, in just the first episode. I couldn't see any of them being a Doctor's companion. Not everyone has to be, obviously. Thanks for sticking to an alternating strategy. So even though I'd gotten used to a DW twice weekly billing. We won't be losing it off the schedule for long periods, in trade for these interesting characters and their tonally different exploits.

You've seen this filming location in s1 of Doctor Who when the tardis parked on the rift and turned the slitheen back into the egg.

i have rarely seen a show with characters who feel so "Real" which is crazy to say about a scifi show but thats what i call this show, "real"

Things you'll see in Torchwood that you wont see in Doctor Who (and all of them were in this episode, just to make sure we understand how different it is): Sex, Cussing, and Blood. Excited to join you on your Torchwood journey. It takes a bit of time to find it's footing in my opinion, but once it finds it, you'll witness some of the most intense and well produced TV. Stick through the questionable storylines and material, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

If you visit the UK between now and finishing Torchwood, don't visit Cardiff Bay! There's something physically there that could genuinely act as a spoiler for the show. Also I always crack up at the Torchwood favourite hobby of standing on rooftops for no reason
