It always amazes me how, considering how frequently The Doctor's planet Gallifrey is referred to in the classic series, that it took over 2 seasons before the reveal in this episode(which is handled brilliantly). Kinda like a Mandela Effect for me as when I was younger I assumed it had to have been stated in series 1 or 2 somewhere

In case you didn't see it, when The Doctor uses the Sonic on that guy's phone it shows that Donna's company is owned by Torchwood, meaning that plot thread wasn't just for series s2 and will be continuing into future seasons.

Yea, I'd travel with the doctor in a heartbeat, even knowing all the terrible things he witnesses and is forced to do sometimes. But if I *only* had Donna's experience, I'd probably say no to him, too. Idk. Watching the doctor stand all stoic in the rushing water and flames while he kills a bunch of screaming children is legit terrifying. That's definitely one of the darkest things the doctor has done in an episode so far. It's a shame that Americans have such a skewed perception of Catherine Tate due to her terrible office character. She's a very funny and talented comedian and actor.
