Lisa was not the girl from Dr who. In fact, the person you were referring to was actually Martha's cousin (she mentioned having a cousin who worked at canary wharf) who was played by the same actress as Martha.

I love that the Torchwood reaction watching experience is different to a Doctor Who one. It seems that you have grasped early on how ridiculous some aspects of this show are and your quippy comments makes the watching experience for the early parts of this show a lot more fun for me. This is a Chris Chibnall script contribution. There does unfortunately always seem to be at least one or two aspects of his Whoniverse writing that never seem to sit right with sections of an audience. Case in point. You take a story that is trying to deliver horror and does that fairly well. But they also decide to give it an totally unnecessary and unexplained gratuitous costume choice for the villian. The apparent objective seems to be to add a note of sexualisation. Perhaps trying a little too hard to fulfill the more adult brief, I think. Which honestly undermines the complexity and grim reality of this story to a certain degree. Then we have the morgue scene to satisfy our sexual themed content and roundout our complex, 'real' and flawed characters. A little too obvious and lost potential are too often my take aways from their contributions.

One of my favourite episodes. I ignore the costume lol (Explanation below my responses to your comments lol) Lisa is not the same one as the one up flirting with the co worker. That was Adeola and played by Freema Agyeman) Lisa is played by Caroline Chikezie who has been in much more than I realised before I googled her recently lol. "Twenty-six? That's so young" Ianto is like 23/24. And was recruited to Torchwood at about 21/22 years old. Torchwood isn't opposed to hiring babies. He was too young. He is too young and precious. You asked how long she has been there for him to fall in love with her. Ianto is from Torchwood One as well. He and Lisa were together in London. How he ended up in Torchwood Three? Well... hopefully the show will one day explain haha I wish I had a pterodactyl to eat my exes... Also, the pizza girl deserved it. She forgot the Coleslaw. I totally agree that Ianto knew it had to be done. But yeah... killing your own girlfriend isn't easy. Especially when he has clearly spent months trying to keep her alive. WHY I LOVE THIS EPISODE: 1. Notice how Ianto has been completely in the background for the first 3 episodes? The writers played us. Made us not notice him just like the team doesn't notice him. 2. It's so freaking human. Ianto trying desperately to save the girl he loves. And being in so much shock and trauma he is struggling to see what's happened. he just wants to save her, there must be a way to save her. 3. The intensity of the acting. OMG everyone brought their A game. And the scenes between Ianto and Jack are just so tense and emotional. You can feel them both being so caught up in their emotions. 4. I really like the links back to Doctor Who. Reminding us this is the same universe.
