here is my timed reaction to torchwood season 1 episode 8 "they keep killing suzie"!

who wouldve expected suzie to come back, and in this way??? great episode!

I really like this episode. I think it is all so beautifully done. My only wish is that Suzie hadn't planned it so well, I love her desperation to live, but she is like a super villain with the levels of preparation she made. But damn! The actors are amazing in this and the story is so powerful. Not to mention the desperation to live is so real. Why is Ianto weird? Because he is beautiful and traumatised and very autistic coded (especially in extended media). But we love him! And yes, first half of season 1 is rough and then it just explodes into amazing glorious Torchwood goodness. If you think that was flirtatious between Jack and Ianto you should see things that were taken out of the scripts of the first two episodes. I was reading them the other day and screaming at what they worked in. But yes, I think that conversation about stop watches should be read as flirty.

So there are comic books, novels and, (most importantly) audio dramas all officially licensed by the BBC. Big Finish audio releases monthly episodes of Torchwood to this day (in audio format) taking place from Torchwood's inception and well passed the TV show cannon. I don't want to say too much as I don't want to give ANYTHING away (but encourage you to explore them when you're done with the show). But regarding Ianto he has a lot of autistic "tells", things have to be a very particular way, or he has a torn shirt sleeve and he tears the other because he has to be "even".
