the "who do you think made your clothes" is such a good line, we today have people working for cents 16h a day in conditions that are poison ... and half the population is so poor they can even affort "fair" made chlothes anymore. ... sometimes the show gets to real xD

Kara

its why i laugh whenever anyone says "modern (2024) who is too political" like my guy, you forgot half the show you watched, let alone classic who

When that Ood said "your song must end". Oh you have no idea, how important this will be in later episodes.

Its not bar their diference between slavery and being paid to do a job outside of things like temu most “sweatshop” labour is proper paid over double the average pay for the country the alternative is a worse job or starvation the idea meh “sweatshop” mentality is priviledged entittled westeners who never truly strugled in their life

demonic-myst

Their only two alternatives Not open buisness their znd lrave the people to starve without a job because no one is going to take the net loss of trying treat a broken economy to the same priviledges that were hard esrned by western economies the mere inport costs alone make even minimal wage a net loss to run factories in these countries and removing improt costs only benifits actual slave labour like temu whos componies often use concentration camp labour from chinas muslim concentration camos that been around half a decade now Or cost millions of pivds 8n a meenigless war aga8nst china to take over rebuilt a econ9my costing billions of dollers to remove the inflation, build infrastructure , create incentives for componies and create jobs localy which take 50-100 years and likely fail thats if it doesnt end in nuclear war
