Personaly never liked how the series writes demons feel like it has all the flores of both black and white morality and pf failed nuonce its like a bad midd”e ground that lacks any benifits Their not oure evil because they basicly animals But they canthink Yet they act like they cant think The show series cant make its mind up on if they are mindless monsters or sentient life

emmereacts

yes it is very interesting how they portray them! it's almost like they are implying they are psychopaths/sociopaths???

Daniel McNerny

I love how they portrays demons in the series. Its not that they don't think its that they don't think like humans. It shows the range of how they can look similar to us talk like us but be a completely different species.

They dont think ag all they show the level of ingeligence lions do Lions alao mimic sounds to lur prey Thinking is the ability go judge ones own exisgence these demons do not judge their own instinct their as primitive as cave men

DrakonFirestone

I think that's the whole point, they are carnivor or more accurate human-eating wild animals with ability to use magic who also can talk to deceive their pray with their words. That's basically it. Their brains have cognitive abilities to strategies their apporach, while they're still animal-like creatures, but most of all they lack empathy that people have, they have something more emotional intelligence they use to understand humans emotions and use that, that's why their way of perceiving things like killing others (especially humans who are just a weaker animals by their perspective) or using emotional manipulation is twisted in the eyes of the human. In their opinion "might makes right", it was stated in 10th episode that they didn't changed much in that regard from the wild beasts they are descendants of.

I know i never said i did t understand it i said i dont like it or find it interesting its about as interest8ng ti me as seing the basic hero fends off wolves

The Blue Savior

demons being victims has been so overdone in fantasy anime and manga that this is way more interesting imo. How complex characters react in the face of absolutes and how it challenges them is compelling to me.
