Are you lost? How did you get here?

"told not to hire white people" is twisting the truth. There was and is a massive lack of diversity in the film and TV industry and they offered traineeships to people from minority backgrounds to address this. Stop this nonsense

David Bradley and Jessica Raine who played William Hartnell and Verity Lambert appeared in Matt Smith episodes Dinosaur on a Spaceship and Hide respectively.

Sydney Newman did create a series called The Avengers in 1961 two years before both Doctor Who and Marvel's Avengers comic. It ran for six seasons between 1961 and 1969. It was a spy series.

I've heard about these statements but I haven't seen any sources that corroborate it. The closest I saw was the BAME trainee scheme but that was limited to the one trainee program among the multiple they had.

Whoa what is that Ncuti Gatwa edit, seems entirely unnecessary to change it like that!

Yup, the building with the circular courtyard is BBC Television Centre, which was the BBC’s headquarters for television. You’d see that building all the time on TV. The BBC moved out and sold the building in 2013, so it was probably a good time to use the building as a set. A lot’s changed now, some of it’s converted into flats, there’s new buildings built around it, etc.

It'd be really cool if you did like a Mini Tour of Classic Doctor Who like some other reactors have done, but I understand that's a huge time sink, especially since some of the best stories that are worth checking out are roughly an hour and half or more

perhaps one day! right now classic who isn't really on my radar because i feel still waist deep in new who. but maybe when i start to catch up to current that will be a possibility

emmereacts

oh that's great! thanks for answering my question

emmereacts

i don't think its unnecessary, i think it's great that they can continue to edit it for each anniversary!

emmereacts

ohhh wow!!! i'll have to watch that back
