I’ve been looking forward to this episode Peters speech is the highlight of this season for me. Jenna Coleman does a fantastic job too.

Funny you should mention The Matrix since Doctor Who did the Matrix first in the fourth Doctor story The Deadly Assassin back in 1976.

(28:53) "Five rounds, rapid" the phrase Kate uses to explain how she survived is the title of actor Nicholas Courtney's (who played Kate's dad in Classic Who) autobiography. It was also The Brig's general approach to alien invaders. First used during the 3rd Doctor's era in the episode "The Daemons": Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: "Chap with the wings, there. Five rounds rapid". Wonderful throwback!

Peter is putting on like a corny gameshow host American accent in the Black Archive scene, at the beginning and then with the 'fingers on buzzers!' moment, you weren't mishearing him he was putting on an accent lol Also the last lines between the Doctor and Clara in the Tardis are pretty amazing, her jokingly saying it was only like five minutes (not five actual minutes Emme lol) and him very solemnly saying he'll be the judge of time as if to say you have no idea how long it felt to him when he thought she had died, it's pretty brutal really to know how painful it was for him, all in that one line. It's really good. But yeah that speech and scene is legendary, always quoted by fans as one of the best speeches, Peter is the goat at stuff like this, and Jenna crushed it as Evil Clara too. Also, this episode aired 7th November 2015, literally ten years ago! (yesterday) How's that for timing! Yours faithfully, Dr John Disco.
