Thanks so much for making this place to hang out and watch with you, Emme. This is not me trauma dumping, just trying to speak from perspective and experience. I'm a 2x r*pe survivor, was physically kidnapped the first time, and I was just 12 years old. Also stalked online by a malicious group connected to the Mormon church (IRL Lumon fr) who were trying to find and target AFAB gamers for almost my entire 20's. It has always felt like the intent, or maybe just the effect, was to take some part of me away from myself. I've never really been okay again. If I make lots of anxious comments this is all a huge part of why. This show, this freaking show, it depicts the ways I feel while I'm forever-recovering like no piece of media ever has before or since. It gives my brain a comforting, teary hug if that makes any sense, from start to finish. These poor people have had themselves taken; manipulated and controlled, either on the inside or the outside. And every last one of them deserves our care and compassion, even with characters like Harmony and Milchick. (Maybe not Drummond ;-;) It's tragic beyond words what tactics like this can do to annihilate who you are; but this is a tale of humanity persevering even while it's literally split into different pieces. We're all people and that can never be taken away. Burt and Irving, Dylan and Gretchen, Mark and Helly, all of them show over and over again that love transcends Severance. Even in a nightmare scenario and setting like this: they are *all people.* And it means the world to me. I've never seen anything that makes me feel the way this show makes me feel, and I don't know if there will ever be anything else again. I have trouble watching it alone and you are by far my favorite react channel I've ever watched, so when I saw you were doing this show I was so so happy. Thank you for giving me a place to watch with someone else around. Your insights were amazing all the way through and your open compassion for everyone and street-smarts at the same time when it came to Lumon were genuinely inspiring to me. Thank you🫂 PS: Devon's actress told us that she filmed a getaway scene in a car with Gemma that didn't make the cut for the sake of the artsy ending, I don't know if they're going to use it next season or not but I was really worried sick too until I knew, I'm glad she was able to tell us. Devon is maybe my stealth favorite and the person I would trust most in a situation like this. Absolute legend lol. Take care everyone ❤️‍🩹

Great reaction. Fantastic watch. I enjoy how observational your opinions are. It's great with a show like this. We don't know what's going on. I've heard it's specifically a 5 season series they have planed. Oh lord..this time frame between seasons..

5 seasons!!! i really hope they can get them out faster than what the gap was between 1 and 2. i think thats a bit of my pet peeve of shows these days, it reminds me of how the stranger things kids started as little kids and now some of them are married and having babies lol

I can't wait to hear your overall opinion of the series and it's finale in the year 2037! Lol

Hi Emme, It's about 6 weeks after you posted this but just did a rewatch with you which I thoroughly enjoyed. A few things: 1. Drummond's blood on Mark's tie allowed for Mark to open the Cold Harbor room. 2. As another Patreon member (Amelia) mentions, the original script has Devon waiting in a getaway vehicle. 3. Dichen Lachman, the actress who plays Gemma says that her interpretation is that Gemma has put it together that Mark is likely severed and that it's not *her* Mark who abandons her in the stairwell. Some things I think happens in season 3: I don't think Mark's reintegration glitches and sickness are over, just temporarily sealed off due to the adrenaline he feels throughout this episode. I think Jame wants Helly, not Helena, to be his successor. Gemma likely needs to go into hiding. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this series as much as I did. I recommend rewatching with other reactors to enrich the experience. But your reaction is certain top notch!
