Off topic but is that a bass guitar in the background? Can you play? Are you Peter Capaldi!? Can you please start all future videos wearing those dark sunglasses and playing guitar like the Doctor please, I can't believe you haven't been doing that already! lol Love this episode, those three all work really well together and it's a really good story of, well, the future of capitalism, I imagine this episode isn't far off what working at Amazon is like... The scene where Bill is exposed to space is intense, the way it's shot but the way they do the audio too, it's really good.

I would ABSOLUTELY go to space. Deep sea is what freaks me out. Space is nice and empty and the only thing trying to kill you is the environment. The sea is full of gross unexplained undiscovered creatures and germs to do all kinds of nasty things. The worst thing space can do is kill you

Jamie Mathieson might be my favorite non-showrunner writer for the show. He wrote Mummy on the Orient Express, Flatline, and co-wrote The Girl Who Died with Moffat. His writing style is so dense with exposition but you never once feel bored or feel like you’re just being talked at by the writer. Half the time you hardly realize most of the dialogue was just pure information. He writes 45 minute episodes that FEEL like full length movies, and it’s always just one spine tingling struggle after the next that builds and escalates on each other! Moffat is really good at taking psychological tricks and turning them dark and scary, think the Angels or the Silence. Jamie here made politics and economics dark and scary on a visceral body horror level.

im trying to pay more attention to who writes what and i agree with those takes!!!

deep sea is definitely scary as well but something about it at least being limited whereas space is pretty unlimited, makes me feel better
