Is this why I woke up before 7 AM PST on a Saturday and couldn't go back to sleep? Was the universe telling me something? It could be This cast is so stacked! I lesbian this movie. I may have to watch both versions of the reactions.

Joe

I love this movie, the style, humor, fighting, editing, music, just everything. There are a lot of movies that try to bring video games to life. This one brings real life into a video game, which is so unique. Also, the original ending and the comics ending had him choosing Knives at the end, but they re-filmed it because the director (and test audiences) thought ending up with Ramona fit the story better.

Joe

Also you mentioned liking Michael Cera from Arrested Development. Did you notice that the lady ex, Roxy, was George Michael’s girlfriend Anne (“her?”) from the show?

Next to a lot of cameo’s from later Marvel and DC superheroes, like; Captain America, Captain Marvel, Superman and Rio Vidal (THE Green Witch) there also were a few less obvious ones like Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who played Hera Syndulla in Ahsoka and Roxy Richter (Mae Whitman) who was the voice of Katara in Avatar the Last Airbender. I loved this movie and your reaction Eme!

OMG she mentioned Brick. I thought I was the only one who ever saw that movie.

emmereacts

omg this is so funny because i feel like whenever i bring it up, no one knows what it is LOL

emmereacts

omg i did NOT know that. i would never have recognized her!!

Joe

Not recognizing Anne is a very Anne thing to happen.

He ends up with Ramona end the end of the comics too tho right? Or do you mean the original ending of the comics?

Joe

Yes, you are right sorry. He does end up with Ramona in the comics, which he wasn’t going to originally (he was going to end up alone, I believe.) So both versions changed the original intended ending and had him with Ramona.

Drake

there is an alternate end where he ends up being with knives
