Starved For Time

This one I loved. It was a great use of time travel and a great way to show people the horrors of the partition.

Diljabar

definitely one of the best episodes of 13's tenure

The historical episodes are consistently strong right through the 13th Doctor's run, in my opinion. :)

I very much agree about the hit-or-miss nature of the writing, and it continues pretty much throughout the 13th Doctor's run. I give them credit for trying some new things (especially a pretty different dynamic between the Doctor and companions), and of course having to deal with the restrictions and limitation brought about during the covid years. But I really wish Jodie Whittaker could have had writing as high quality as Capaldi got. Edit: don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed this run, but I think the writing has taken a noticable hit. I highly recommend at some point you check out the show Broadchurch, where you'll recognize many Doctor Who actors, including Jodie Whittaker.

I think it's just a very different kind of writing and approach than we got used to. I found it a refreshing change.

It was frustrating that the quality was so uneven. But we just came out of what I thought were the best two series of Who. I think the Chibnall era comes out looking better if you compare it to the first 3 series of Who. Some dumb episodes, some episodes with fun ideas, and some that are just fantastic.
