As you noted, Emme, the music is so good in this one! It's like a rock album. (Love Segun Akinola's music this whole season. His version of the theme -- which we miss with this episode -- is my favorite.) I also like how all the action and go-go-go is balanced with the quiet moments with the characters. Love the long shot on Ryan when he's telling off his father in the cafe.

Really like what they did with the Dalek in this one, exploring more of what the creature itself can do before it gets in the shell, the reveal of what it is is a cool moment. Love the cafe scene between Ryan and his dad, hits all the emotional points their relationship is having and Ryan was excellent in it too. Graham is a popular companion, you wonder if Chris Chibnall saw how popular Wilf was and tried to do his take on it, but yeah he's excellent as a companion. Just a very good Doctor Who episode, you wonder if Chibnall saw this as the actual finale as it's the final episode of the series and why that's more umph to this one than the last but either way, a great way to end Jodie first season! See ya next episode fam! (I actually quite like Jodie saying this...even if I know Emme isn't lol) Ps - If you see some giant slimy squid...don't poke it...and just leave it...

The new approach to the Dalek in this one is excellent. It's the scariest a Dalek has been in a while -- and to make it scary outside of shell, "piloting" people? Excellent. I mean, Yikes! but excellent. I also appreciate the parallel: In the first episode, the Doctor makes/builds her sonic. And here, the Dalek makes its own shell.
