This episode DEFINITELY rewards a rewatch, if not multiple! There are just so many tiny little micro expressions throughout Sacha Dhawan’s performance, and there are so many shades of past Masters littered throughout. The face he gives after seeing the Doctor again is soooooo Roger Delgado from the Classic series, especially the look he gives at the very end when no one else is looking. Delgado’s Master and Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor played more like sibling rivalry than mortal enemies at times, and Sacha recaptured that feeling again beautifully!

Spymaster! SUCH a good reveal, A moment you'll definitely go back and watch again, no one sees it coming, it's excellent. James Bond x Doctor Who = This fantastic episode! The aliens are cool, the spy theme is cool the only down part is they shot Stephen Fry! He's a national treasure dammit! lol I do like that it took you a few seconds to go like wait a minute...like Master? As in Our Master? As in Missy Master? lol But yeah, just a brilliant episode. And regarding never watching James Bond - If you start it it'll be similar to this show in that you'll probably have favourite Bonds or era's etc, the only issue may be is that you've seen so many parodies of Bond it may be hard to not see past the parodies in the films lol A bit like when you watch something and are are like ohhh that's where the Simpsons got it from lol Also, the shrinking of the original O into that figure and throwing him away is so diabolical! Proper evil stuff.

The Master reveal gives me goosebumps! So good. (Since classic Who, the Master is for sure killed again and again but then pops up again all the time. That's what the Master does: makes lots of no sense.) Sacha Dhawan is so amazing, as Ash says. Re-watching him knowing he's the Master just reveals layers and layers to his performance. And he's so unhinged, but in a totally different way than Missy was. The way he revels in "getting" the Doctor!! (By the way, on the subject of re-watching after learning some key info: re-watch "The Woman Who Fell to Earth": the scene on the roof when they disable the tentacle creature Gathering Coil and Tim Shaw kneels to it to transfer its data to himself -- and the Doctor is watching knowing that she returned the DNA bombs to Coil, and Tim Shaw has just transferred the bombs to himself. The look on her face, all the emotions running through her -- Jodie Whittaker is an incredible actor, too! And it also makes the scene on the crane between her and tooth-face reveal layers, too.) The music again is amazing -- the way Akinola's re-works his Doctor Who themes we've come to know using all the musical vocabulary of 007 films. Chef's kiss. I think one of my favorite Doctor Who images ever is the TARDIS up on the car lift with cables and whatnot hanging down and the Doctor in goggles underneath working on it. It just makes me grin! -- I also appreciate how wearing the goggles echoes the 11th Doctor, who also was a goggle-wearer. There are so many Doctor's that are echoed in Whittaker's performance. She such a Doctor-y Doctor! And as long as we're kudo-ing actors, Mandip Gill was excellent here, too. The ranging from joyful, through Yaz putting on the Doctor's confidence, to the utter terror when she transported to that whatever in between place, and then processing that terror afterwards... So emotive. We really get spoiled with great acting in Doctor Who, don't we? My favorite line in this one might be: "I've made iced tea. Possibly."
