I think I may have done a textbook "guffaw" when the Doctor crinkled her face and confessed that she'd focused too much on the talking cat. (I almost did it again when the Doctor tells Yaz "we've literally got the most exciting rotting bird I've ever seen".) Like you, Emme, I love the last second save of Jake so that he and Adam can be together. Whew! I also share your distress over microplastics being everywhere, in everything. The crusty, creaking Praxeus whatever on people's skin is so disturbing! By the way, when Suki does a video call to the TARDIS and we are looking through her image to the Doctor who is responding to her call? What I've heard is that it's a practical effect on the set, not something put in later, which is pretty cool. Yes, the Ruth or Fugitive Doctor is indeed a legit Doctor. The cast credits at the end of last episode end with "and introducing Jo Martin as The Doctor."

So when Doctor Who had the audacity to cast a female doctor (I know right!?) and you had certain people moaning and complaining #NotMyDoctor etc it was interesting to see, I found anyway, it would be episodes like this where they'd crawl back out complaining and be like no this is too woke blah blah etc I mean, talking about micro plastics how could they!? As you say this is a good episode using a theme you never would have been able to not that long ago but for some it's ones like these why those 'fans' would complain.. urgh. I like this one, fast paced throughout using a recently known trouble for a storyline mixed in with some good one liners! And can we also talk about how that lady is a terrible vlogger, didn't film any of that adventure! Think of the views on that one if she had!
