So nice to re-watch this super hero movie where the 'bad guy' is the darkest thoughts possible and the solution of the super hero's to fight it is giving love and let someone feel seen and appreciated. For me this movie reinstated my trust in Marvel to release good movies. Thank you for this great reaction Eme and I can't wait on seeing your reaction to The Fantastic Four (also a pretty good one imo).

I adore this movie, i mentioned in another post i happened to see this on a whim but now i can say more, i unfortunately do suffer with depression, and during a bad episode i decided on a whim to watch this movie to treat myself, not having any clue how good of a choice it was lol this is one of my favourite representations of that inner voice, not only because of how well they did the self talk, but showed hints of where it came from (he put himself down using words others say to him in his past) but also how they overcame it, you cant just simply overpower those feeling, and i love that they lean into that. the dialogue between him and Yelena and Yelena and her dad are also so accurate. it was just such a well made movie from that perspective alone, and then there is so much else that is amazing lol id go on for hours about this movie if i dont limit myself so ill just say 2 things more Bucky, they made an amazing choice with bucky, when he first shows up during the convoy scene he has an entirely new them, his first theme that doesnt include the winter soldier motif, bucky is free from being burdened by that past and as such he has an entirely new them (called "Its Bucky" lol) and i really love the meaning behind that choice. Sentry is a character i learnt about a while ago and really adore, i hope they do it well, because this stage we are at is my favourite, because beyond the great character stuff Sentry is the nuke allegory, you dont bring Sentry to the fight unless the threat warrants the possible negatives because in the comics for every person Sentry saves, The Void kills another (or tries to) the idea being if you launch that nuke the consequences could be disastrous. also, i imagine it will be the same in the movies but in the comics its not a risk of the void showing up, its 1 to 1, if sentry shows up, the void eventually will as well, and i love that whole dynamic, they could do a LOT with this, so i hope they dont just fix him in the next movie, (as much as i want bob to be happy, he really deserves it, but its a better story if he doesnt lol) also agreed the pinprick eyes are horrifying, whoever made that call needs a raise haha anywho thanks for the reaction and giving me another reason to watch this gem of a movie, its a great movie in itself, but for me its incredibly special now!

When Yelena shot at one of the humvees chasing the limo and there was an explosion, they weren’t surprised she was able to do that. They all looked confused because that wouldn’t have happened from a shot by her pistol, and it didn’t. It was Bucky, who you saw come into the picture a moment later. So happy to see you react to this one! I hope you’ll be watching The Marvels soon??

In the MCU there are way worst films than The Marvels. It might not be memorable, but it's fun.
