here is my timed reaction to doctor who season 12 episode 9 "ascension of the cybermen"

holy cow there was SOOOO much going on in this episode. definitely a big setup for the season finale up next!

With the last few Doctors, we've gotten used to the Doctor knowing everything, being a sort of super-hero, it's interesting that this series has been taking all of that away from the Doctor. She brings stuff to fight off the Cybermen and none of it works. She and her companions are forced to go on the run. And then the Master, who told the Doctor at the beginning of the series/season that "Everything you know is a lie," now shows up and announces that now everything (for the Doctor?) is going to change. In a way, this Doctor is a very human Doctor in that they are as fallible as the rest of us. It's certainly the most vulnerable I think we've seen the Doctor. Maybe this is why I connect with this Doctor so much. The world I live in feels like it's falling apart, so much so that I question what I thought I knew -- and this Doctor is dealing with that, too, and they keep going, they keep caring, they keep trying.

The lone cyberman is the only cyberman with a nickname so he's the only one that gets his own music lol I do love the lone cyberman though, a really cool 'big bad', and just like with the daleks in resolutions I really like the revamped style of the classic villains this era. Speaking of which, also a big fan of the master feeling himself on his entrance lol Like yeah that was cool right!? I was going to say more but I know you'll not be paying attention because you're I imagine still thinking too much about Brendon :p lol
