Great reaction. I really love this episode it’s a pretty good Daleks story. Seeing the doctor so confused and lost about her own identity is so sad the timeless children revelation and everything that happened with the master and Gallifrey being destroyed again really affected her. Sad to see Ryan and especially Graham go but it’s nice to have a companions exit that doesn’t end up in tragedy (hello Rose, donna,Amy and Rory, Clara and of course Poor Bill…) Now, i really can’t wait for Doctor who : flux. Personally i put it on the same level as season 9.

Not sure if it was known or not beforehand but I certainly didn't know about Ryan and Graham before seeing this at the time so I had your reaction too Emme lol But considering the usual fate of companions I think this meant more knowing them two got to leave on their own terms, that whole scene is really really emotional. 'Two hearts, one happy, one sad' LOVE that line. It's not often a dalek episode (which this is a really good one btw) is remembered for non dalek moments but the moments between the Doctor and Yaz, Ryan and Graham and Jack and Yaz are really well done. Also, was that Emme admitting she was coming around to the Doctor calling people 'fam'!? I think it it was! Yay! lol

i may be coming around to it only for her reason :')

It's sad to see Graham and Ryan go, but like you all are saying, it is really great that they left on their own terms. I love the music in this one. The way the Dalek theme gets reinterpreted is great. The musical moment that really stands out is when the Prime Minister is shifting from talking about how 'we need security' to introducing the 3D printed Daleks, the way the music shifts key and tonality in that moment is so good! It's interesting that what really roots the Doctor in still being the Doctor is when she realizes that there is a Dalek problem that she needs to solve. Her chat with Ryan got her close to it, but realizing that she is the adversary of the Daleks is when she has her "I am the Doctor" moment. I wonder if defining herself in that adversarial way is actually the most sustainable way for her to define herself, however. I think she also needs to start defining herself in terms of what she is _for_ --- defining herself in terms of what she creates rather than just defining herself by what she destroys. She kinda created 'the fam,' for example. She often seems to bring people together and the people working together realize they accomplish more together than they could on their own. (Lots of Doctors do that, but it seems more central perhaps to who 13 is?)

prison not so bad because they have their own cell ? xD i think isolation cells are used as punishment most in the world xD how bad are american prisons when THAT looks good xD that looks like pure horror to me xD
